Kings like to play to their opponents level, dangerous when the team suddenly can't score more than 1 or 2 goals per game.Only 8 of us picked Columbus.

Yup it was Danault.Well, well, is it any surprise who dragged his teammates offside on that disallowed goal by Laferriere?
As for Quentin, he must have felt me revving up my keyboard.![]()
Kings make too many mistakes in 3 on 3 OT. There is no need to shoot through players (Byfield/Kempe).
That is true, however my point is more one of strategy. If you aren't wide open don't shoot it. Take it back over the blue line if you have to and change players if your guys are getting tired. I do know that holding on to the puck seems to be much harder that one would think with that much open ice.Unfortunately, Kempe is in a position of having to carry the team at times, especially in OT.
You’d be wrong there. I know you’re the one that was mentioning the east/West versus North/South quandary in the other thread. And this is exactly the problem. Kevin was trying to make a play East/west, rather than just inching that puck across the blue line.Yup it was Danault.
Nice to see QB is counseling you for that.

Fiala had a very good game despite some tough luck.
These scientists need to take the microscope back to the lab and look at amoeba's!

It's easy for everyone to blame Fiala for the OT goal but had Kuemper not gone for the poke check he probably makes the save 8 or 9 times out of 10. That is also why I wasn't upset about the penalty shot even though the call was ridiculous. I am OK with offside reviews but the refs let Columbus get away with waiting too long.I hate to say we deserved to win because I just recently said there was no such thing as deserve. But we deserved to win this game. We carried the play for the most part & had more shots & scoring chances. We just can't bury our chances. Especially that sequence before the BJ's scored their 2nd goal, we had real good chances. In the OT, first of all that penalty shot shouldn't have been called. But if it means Kuemper makes the save, I'll take that. But on the goal, I wish Fiala would've found a way off the ice if he was hurt. I guess he couldn't though. But it's not like he's the strongest defender anyway. Anyway, I'm not happy about the loss but I'm glad for the loser point.
On to that disallowed goal. I ranted about it the last time it happened & I believe it more strongly than ever. Disallowing a goal because of offsides is bullcrap. Especially in this case where it took 1:20 after the goal was scored to challenge. Even to the point where they were about to drop the puck. They shouldn't be able to do that. You should get 30, maybe 45 seconds to challenge a goal for offsides. They've got video coordinators who can see while the play is going on if it's offsides. If a goal gets scored they should be able to say right away that it was offsides. And if it takes 80 seconds of slowing down each frame by millimeters to see if someone's offsides, then maybe it shouldn't be called back. And again, if you're using the standard of the human eye when you enter the zone, why then switch to the standard of a machine when the goal gets scored? Especially when you have to slow down frame by frame on several replays to see the offsides. And for anyone who argues they have to get it right, actually they don't. There are many instances in a game where they get a call wrong or don't make a call they should. And we don't go back & review all those. But for some reason this one we do. Also, calling a goal back for offsides means they didn't get it right. Otherwise it would've been blown dead when they entered the zone. You just wasted in this case 20 seconds of playing time & a nice goal. And you disappoint half the people watching. It's stupid & they need to fix this rule.
Sorry for the long rant but I'm still pissed about it.
This!!!!or 100% if the other team touches the puck video/challenges shouldn't be used if the linesman called it fair.
Yeah it's one of the stupider parts of the game, right up there with 3 on 3 overtime. The NHL either needs to fix offsides by either adding a system like VAR or removing the coaches challenge option (perhaps with the exception of the playoffs). On to that disallowed goal.
