***LA Kings @ Edmonton Oilers GDT 1/13/25 6:30pm on FanDuel***

I think I’ve seen enough of Moore. He just not a difference maker in big games. If Blake can replace him with an upgrade before the trade deadline this Kings team can get past the Oilers.
There is a good portion of the forward corps that need to get their asses in gear. Fiala, Laffy, and Moore all have 1 assist apiece in their last 5 games. Byfield has 2 assists in his last 5. Jeannot has zilch. Lewis has not registered a point in his last 9 games..

Only two more losses and I will tie JasonU for the contest. The Kings only hope is to win against Vancouver because we know they will lose the last game of the road trip as they will be thinking about home.

Kings offense has gone stone cold. And it doesn't help that Laffy gets benched for being stupid. Meaning Lewis got minutes in the 3rd that should have gone to others

There’s just no way around it Blake absolutely has to go all in and get a scoring Forward. I’d love to move on from Fiala or Danault but Moore seems like the easiest piece to move. If he doesn’t there is almost no shot the Kings get out of the 1st round.

How good would Patrik Laine look next to Byfield and Foegele… could’ve had him for a 2nd and an undersized D-man last summer.

I'd stay as is until Doughty returns and evaluate from there. In the interim it would be nice to roll 4 consistent forward lines, which means dressing 12 forwards going forward. Doing so will also help when it comes to forward energy.

I totally agree that the Kings needs a scoring forward, but considering they need an elite scoring forward, between cap space limitations and Blake's poor trade history I would focus on addressing it in the offseason via free agency.

This, once again, is the problem with consistent trading away 1st and 2nd round draft picks... Besides Greentree we have next to zero scoring talent, outside of over age players, at the minor/college level.

I’d be happy to see Fiala moved for a bigger bodied player who sticks to north/south hockey. Too many boneheaded turnovers from him. He’s also got that penchant for bad stick penalties, which ultimately make him a liability that his scoring barely makes up for, and that’s when he’s actually scoring.

I don’t worry about Moore’s game so much, even when he’s not scoring. He has somewhat of a ‘Justin Williams-lite’ quality to him, in my opinion.

I'm sorry but the refs gave this win to the Oilers. Mc Douche got away with 2 penalties. And he should've been in the box when he scored. I'm not saying the Kings played great. But this was 2 great teams locked up against each other not giving an inch to the other. If you give them one little advantage they'll make you pay. After that goal I was pissed off watching the rest of the game. It especially got frustrating when Draisaitl kept winning faceoffs & the Kings couldn't get anything going.

As far as trades, I would hate to lose Moore, Fiala, or Danault. But if we got a big time legitimate scorer I would trade any one of them. If we can't get anyone at this trade deadline I would go all in on getting Rantanen. Whatever it takes, back the Brinks truck up. Unless he's resigned & then I'd target Marner. But we need someone like that.

It appears that Hiller is relying too much on the Kopitar line. He kept dragging them out there in Calgary (second game of a back to back with a 50 year old) and then with the goalie pulled - Kopitar lost 4 consecutive faceoffs to Leon.
Danault does a ton of little things.

Play Turcotte - Play Laffy - Don't be scared of their youth.
