***LA Kings @ Minnesota Wild GDT 11/5/24 5:00pm on FanDuel***

Huge win, we needed that! QB finally scores and great to see TL scoring 2. Thursday will be interesting... Go Kings Go!!!!

The Kings were a bit sluggish at the start but surprisingly got more into the game as time went by. That is great on a back to back. Beating Minn that have been outstanding the first month of the season is an accomplishment . Most of the Kings goals were extra effort goals which is a great sign. Congrats to the Kings.

Sorry but the last couple years I haven't thought DD makes the team all that much better. They rely on him far too much and now the D is actually developing chemistry.

Well, he'd still be a significant upgrade over Burroughs...if both Clarke and Spence solidify as top 4 D-men, DD's injury could be a blessing in disguise - he'd be fresher for the finish of the season and playoffs, and the Kings would have two young guys hardened by this experience. Minutes could then be spread much more evenly instead of throwing DD right back into the 28min territory...

Kind of a true make or break situation for this team.

On a related note, it seems Hiller is more than fine with reducing the load on the "old guys", Kopitar is now on 18:43 TOI which is great to see. The coach could easily push him harder due to some other guys struggling offensively (Phil, QB) in order to secure his job further as I'm sure he knows the first 10 games were far from great, despite what the winning % says...

OMG! I think I might have had a 4-point night in the Poll Questions! 8 total goals for the 2 games, 28 shots for the Kings, 24 shots for the Wild. That would be a personal best by far!

100%. The first period was a total turd. I think we had 5 shots nearly halfway through the game. It looked like it was matter of time before the Wild took control. And then the Kings found another gear and won convincingly. That was a big win against a tough opponent on a back-to-back. Good to see Lewis get goal 100 (and 101).

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed 8 total goals over 2 games, and/or within +/-1 of 28 Kings SOG and/or 24 Wild SOG:

Got back from working the polls and dropping off the ballot bag right when Foegele put back the rebound on that amazing Byfield pass. Clearly the Kings were just holding out for me to turn on the game to start the show. From that point on what a tear they went on though. Shots were 17-5 wild as of roughly 6-7 minutes to go in the second and ended up Kings 28 Wild 24. The game I saw was very different from whatever was going on in the first and it was simply watching the wheels come off the wild. I don't know how much was losing Kaprizov for that little bit, but the two fights and the incidentals clearly looked like two teams happy to go at it and one team simply getting rewarded. Q was absolutely flying the entire time I watched and Kopi had 2-3 shifts where he was laying himself out on the ice trying to make plays. I'll be honest I don't think I've ever seen him do that even in playoff games. Glad for Lewis getting the two goals but did he really have to take that last shot and screw me out of a point? On that note congratulations to:

For all going 4 of 5 on available points, nobody went 5 for 5 though.

Mikey is an elite shutdown D-man with some nice offensive input from time to time. Probably Blake's best move as GM is his contract.

Gavrikov is another win for Blake he's playing absolutely incredible.

I can't believe I'm giving Blake 2 big W's but credit where it is deserved. Having the patience and vision with Laff too. I didn't see it in the beginning myself, but someone in the organization did.

Missed both the poll question and the game Monday, by far the most Kings games I've missed to begin a season. Between the bizarro start times and other obligations and conflicts with other sporting events, I just haven't been able to catch many games. On the bright side, every game I've missed we've won.

Anyway...

30 or 31 Kings
29 or 30 Wild.

As always, thanks Susan, and Go Kings Go!

Congrats to those of us that went 4 for 5 🙂on the questions for the Preds/Wild Monday and Tuesday games. And also to those who correctly guessed some of the questions right🥅🏒

LOL How embarrassing.

I just went and got some beer for tonight's game... that happened last night. I wasn't expecting back-to-backs on the road. Of course it's academic anyway since the power just went out due to a windstorm. God does not want me to see the Kings play this year. I've seen one period of hockey in the last 2 weeks and that was the choke job against the Blackhawks.
Oh well at least we're winning. Maybe one day I'll actually get to see a game.........

Game over. LA finally wins B2B. Dominant performance here and QB finally gets his first goal of the season.

Okay, my mom and I booked a trip to Japan starting tomorrow night and I won't be back until the 19th of this month. Tootles everyone and may I wish myself a safe trip together with my mom.
Safe travels!

If you watch a game on replay and the kings are retroactively stripped of a win.....
