***LA Kings @ Nashville Predators GDT 11/4/24 5:00pm on FanDuel***

Seems like, as is usually the case, when you have several high-profile UFA signings, things don’t go so well for a while. Absolutely nothing went right for them. Kinda feel bad for them.

Solid win for the Kings tonight. Good make up for that atrocity v. Chicago.

Really solid 60-minute game… but I feel so badly for Turcotte. The guy deserves some good luck for a change.
Yeah. I've been worried about this exact scenario since the season started. Honestly, I was hoping he'd retire after his last concussion. He is risking permanent brain damage. I hope he retires after this one. He's got a long life ahead of him which is more important than his NHL career.

I'm not sure the Turcotte hit was a head issue, I don't remember him being forced off the ice for the concussion protocol. No way the spotters could have missed that?

Happy for a win, DK shutout over a team that is in the bottom three, not impressed, need consistency. Concerned about tomorrow, Go Kings Go!

His head got slammed into the glass. He looked woozy on the bench when the trainer was talking to him. I expect an "Upper body injury" announcement tomorrow.

I was impressed last night. I'm not saying that Nashville at this point is a consistent team, however, I do believe they will be at some point of the season, so get a win against them now. Nashville has too many good players not to make a run at a playoff position.

Coach says he's gonna be fine. Fingers crossed!

Really? That's good news. But I'm still concerned both because of his history and because of the way he plays. I just feel like it is a matter of time before the next concussion.

So it looks like Hiller said he is "fine," but probably not playing tonight and Hiller is not sure when he will be. That doesn't sound very much like "fine."

..."gonna be fine" was the quote. But Hiller didn't say when.😁

Guess the good news is that I haven't read that he was flown back to LA or put on IR.

Hoping for the best. He was just starting to show that the "Mike Richards" comparisons at his draft were justified. Guy has some great hands and excellent vision.

The day after, I'm surprised the Preds haven't fired their coach yet. Losses to Kings have resulted in a few of those in recent memory if I recall correctly--most noticeable being the Pens who then went on to win the cup.

Love the point production but particularly enjoying the +3 on a team with no power play and below average penalty kill. Extremely encouraging.

Wait...I thought special teams goals for/against don't count towards the +/-, unless the player is in a penalty box and your team gets scored on, or in case of shorthanded goals?

They were probably just super careful in his case which is great to see. He was probably just a bit shaken up. Let's hope it stays like this.

I can imagine him being kicked back on the ice by some "old school" coach that's "all about discipline and hard work"...
