***LA Kings @ NY Islanders GDT 12/10/24 4:30pm on FanDuel***

End of 1st period. The Kings had a good period and got on board first after a beauty of a pass to Juice led to a goal. They may have gotten in trouble with two penalties but otherwise they were solid and in control for most of that period. 40 more minutes of hockey left and the Kings need to maintain their lead and get some insurance goals to keep the filthy Isles from taking this game away.

Yes, I recently hold major contempt of the Isles after hearing their fans making backhanded comments to us after that rightly dirty hit by Anders Lee to Gavrikov last season that sidelined him for a couple of months. Then again, I really despise NYC-area teams in general (the Devils don't count since they represent NJ rather than NY, despite being tagged as an NYC-area team by the media).

Butch Boring is such a whiny announcer..geeze. Your team was not good. Kings were good. Keep it up, Kings!

Kings are so much quicker than the Isles. Without Barzal, where is the talent? It’s hard to see what exactly Uncle Lou is trying to do with this team.

I take it that he probably holds contempt of the Kings ever since he got traded to the Isles as a player and was a contributor to their early 80s dynasty and never looked back. That makes it really hard for me to respect him at that point.

It wasn't just Gavrikov, didn't Lee slew-foot a King (Kaliyev)?

That was an insanely good shift/shifts by everyone leading up to that goal for like 2:00 before
