***LA Kings @ NY Islanders GDT 12/10/24 4:30pm on FanDuel***

That’s two good stick-handling shifts for Q. Nice puck protection and pass for a shot first time and that right there was just awesome. Almost really awesome.

Why Anders Lee is still able to skate in this game, let alone score a goal, is absolutely beyond me.

I’m dressing Englund, Jeannot, Burroughs, and calling up anyone from the AHL who’s willing to handle some dirty business for this one. With a clear directive.

Jeannot crushed Romanov in the corner with one big check.

And there's the first penalty against the Isles, and it's for high-sticking. LA on their first PP of the game. Regain that two goal lead, LA.

Too bad LA couldn't convert in their PP.

And that concludes the 2nd period. There's booing and whining from the Isles crowd for missed calls late in the period. Shut up, Isle fans (I can't stand fans of NYC-area sports teams in general due to their arrogance, superiority complex, entitledness and delusional behavior. Sure, there are fans from other cities who are like that too [Boston (though more inferiority complex than superiority), Chicago, and Philadelphia come to mind] but no other city sticks out like a sore thumb than NYC). We Kings fans won't forget what your captain did to Gavy and Kali last season when our team last played in your arena and your team won that game thanks to rightly crooked officiating, so you have no right to complain. Your team may have cut our team's lead in half during this period but don't get too comfortable yet. We'll see what will happen in the next 20 minutes.

Forget a sports psychologist, QB needs to go see a shaman. That pass from Juice was an absolute gift. I hate watching the poor kid struggle like this and for so long. Some day the dam will break…
Maybe. At this point, I’m just hoping that, worst case scenario, he can replicate Kempe’s career arc and find his scoring touch around 350 NHL games played, similar to the way Juice did. I think the best we can hope for is that sort of mid career emergence into a .8 PPG type of player. He’s never going to be an Eichel, Draisaitl, or anything else commensurate with his draft pick stature.
