***LA Kings @ Pittsburgh Penguins GDT 12/17/24 4:00pm on FanDuel***

The Penguins are playing much better than I expected given their record. Much more organized than the Rangers, and pretty fast-skating game for a bunch of "old guys". If they just didn't cough up the puck so much in their O zone, they would be impressing me, actually. Maybe they'll make the surge up the ranks into a playoff spot with Lizotte scoring like crazy?

I always thought Nedelkevich was good on the Hurricanes, too. He's been great tonight after that 1st goal.

I would be onboard with anything that gets Lizotte his due. Love his game and energy. Needs to stay healthy though and his gameplay does not lend itself to that.

Our usual routine includes either the Solvang Restaurant for those deadly fried balls of dough or The Hitching Post for steak. Been making that trip since escaping the LA riots in '92. Absolutely love it up there... also usually do Fess Parkers or Chumash.
My wife has to stop in town for fudge… we often go to Los Olivos for food and tastings.

Nice. Spent a lot of time in Los Olivos before and on Foxen Canyon Road. Took my pops to Foxen last time he was here (which will certainly be the last time he visits CA due to age). The whole area is great.
Yeah that whole area is fantastic. Met my second wife and went up there while they were filming "Sideways" at Ostrichland. Got to meet Paul Giamatti Thomas Haden Church and Sandra Oh. And we stayed in Miles and Jack's room a few times at the old Windmill!

well, then. Kings relaxed too soon. Hopefully the "3rd period tough" Kings will come through tonight.

Amazing athlete. He looks like he will play to 40… or more.
I think the league moving toward favoring speed over physicality is going to extend the careers of guys like Crosby, Ovechkin and even Kopi if he wants it. None of the three are speedsters but all 3 have hockey IQ off the charts. And there’s just significantly far less physical punishment in today’s NHL vs. even 10 years ago.

And the Kings on the PK again. You're giving Pittsburgh a chance to gain the lead here; don't let that happen, LA. This is why you should never sit on your lead and take penalties at inopportune times.
