Week 29 of the LA Kings Prospect Tracker is a lean one. Jared Woolley is the last Kings prospect standing in junior hockey. Next week, Henry Brzustewicz and Hampton Slukynsky will be back in the tracker as we check in on their first foray into the AHL playoffs with the Reign. For now, the focus is squarely on Woolley and the fight against Liam Greentree’s Windsor Spitfires.

Housekeeping note: Once a prospect’s season has concluded and their final report has been filed, they will no longer be featured in this year’s Prospect Tracker and will instead be listed here. Players no longer featured: Jan Chovan (Sudbury Wolves), Ryan Conmy (Boston College), Kristian Epperson (Denver), Carter George (Ontario Reign), Caeden Herrington (Vermont), Jimmy Lombardi (Ontario Reign), Brendan McMorrow (Denver), James Reeder (Denver), Will Sharpe (Vancouver Giants), Jack Sparkes (Clarkson), and Petteri Rimpinen (Kiekko-Espoo).

The following reports cover games played through the end of day Tuesday, April 28th.

Ontario Hockey League (OHL)

Jared Woolley, Kitchener Rangers, LH Defenseman (164th overall in 2024)

2025-26 Stats: 13 goals, 28 assists, plus-35, 106 PIM in 78 games played

Woolley hasn’t found the scoresheet through three games of the OHL Western Conference Final, but Kitchener leads Windsor two games to one. As is practically tradition through this playoff run, his presence has been felt in other ways. He generated four shots in Game 1, including an overtime attempt where he found soft ice in front of the net and tried a between-the-legs shot. Then, Game 3 got physical. Woolley and Windsor’s Jack Nesbitt had been barking at each other through the penalty boxes after receiving offsetting roughing penalties, and the moment they stepped out of the box they dropped the gloves at center ice. After a few exchanged shots, Woolley pulled Nesbitt’s jersey and landed several rights before officials stepped in. Never a wise decision to take on the 6-foot-5 “Wolf”.

While it may seem concerning that the Rangers’ number-one defenseman is pointless through three games this round, that stretch hasn’t slowed the Rangers down one bit. And with a chance to take a commanding 3-1 series lead on Wednesday night, Woolley’s impact will be felt through his physicality, intensity, and compete.

This would've been insane
