Week 17 of the Prospect Tracker brought plenty of firepower from LA’s pipeline. Henry Brzustewicz extended his point streak to eight games while averaging five shots per contest, and Vojtech Cihar buried his first WHL goal—a shorthanded beauty on his way to a four-point night. Jimmy Lombardi has kept his hot streak alive with five goals in his last six games and now sits sixth in the OHL in goals. In net, Carter George was named the OHL’s Goalie of the Month for January, and Hampton Slukynsky continues to lead the nation in wins during his Hobey Baker-nominated campaign. The following reports cover games played through the end of day Monday, February 2nd.

Ontario Hockey League (OHL)

Henry Brzustewicz, London Knights, RH Defenseman (31st overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 15 goals, 17 assists, minus-12, 45 PIM in 39 games played

Brzustewicz is absolutely rolling right now, riding an eight-game point streak with four goals, eight assists, and a plus-8 rating while unleashing 40 (!) shots on goal over that span. The mobile rearguard buried an even-strength one-timer from the point in Friday’s 3-2 shootout loss to North Bay, executing a give-and-go before finding space to fire. He then kept it going the next night in London’s 6-1 rout of Erie with a primary assist on the game-winning goal. Brzustewicz is averaging five shots per game during the streak, and his shot-first mentality is clearly producing results.

Jan Chovan, Sudbury Wolves, Center/Right Wing (184th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 14 goals, 19 assists, minus-28, 6 PIM in 41 games played

Chovan recorded a goal and two assists this week, bringing his season total to 33 points. The sixth-round pick tallied a power-play score in Friday’s 3-2 loss to Kingston, moving from the point down to the left hashmarks and catching a pass before firing a top-shelf laser through traffic. He then added two assists in Saturday’s 5-2 upset win over second-place Ottawa. After upsetting Flint two weeks ago and now Ottawa—plus nearly beating first-place Brantford last week—Sudbury has proven they can compete against the OHL’s most elite teams. Chovan now leads the team with 10 power-play goals this season and has made a living by finishing on the doorstep. He also won 66% of his faceoffs this weekend, showing continued development in the newly found role as full-time center.

Carter George, Soo Greyhounds, Goalie (57th overall in 2024)

2025-26 Stats: 2.72 GAA, .906 SV%, 3 SO, 1 goal, 1 assist, 15 wins in 30 games played

George’s unbeaten streak with the Soo came to an end this week after a tough three-game stretch for the Greyhounds. The second-round pick allowed six goals to Niagara on Thursday before suffering back-to-back 3-2 shootout losses to Erie and top-ranked Brantford over the weekend. Despite the results, George stood tall in Sunday’s matchup against the OHL’s best team, stopping 37 shots and keeping the Greyhounds within striking distance throughout the game. Now 5-1-2 since arriving in Sault Ste. Marie, George was named the OHL’s Goalie of the Month for January, highlighting just how dominant he’s been since being traded from Owen Sound. He continues to give his new team a chance to win every night, even if the results didn’t fall his way this weekend.

Liam Greentree, Windsor Spitfires, Right Wing (26th overall in 2024)

2025-26 Stats: 23 goals, 22 assists, plus-11, 46 PIM in 34 games played

It was another stellar weekend from LA’s 2024 first-round pick, as Greentree tallied four points in three games. He delivered a dominant second period performance against North Bay, scoring twice in under 90 seconds. The power forward used a self-pass on a zone entry before stickhandling toward the slot and firing a top-shelf rocket for his first tally, then corralled a deflection attempt at his feet and shot through traffic for his second. He added a helper against Kitchener before netting another goal against Sarnia, as the Spitfires posted a 2-1-0 record this week. Greentree fired off 10 shots over those three games and is on pace for 70 points this season. While that total sits well below last year’s outstanding 119-point campaign, the Spitfires’ captain is still averaging more than a point per game and continues to show why he is LA’s top forward prospect.

Jimmy Lombardi, Flint Firebirds, Center (125th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 28 goals, 25 assists, plus-21, 50 PIM in 47 games played

Lombardi continues to produce in a breakout season, tallying four points in two games this week. The fourth-round pick notched a goal in a 6-5 overtime loss to Barrie before erupting for a three-point night against Sarnia, scoring twice and adding an assist to lead Flint to a 6-3 victory. He’s now scored five goals in his last six games and ranks sixth in the entire OHL with 28 goals. Despite Lombardi’s hot streak, Flint dropped from third to sixth in the Western Conference standings as a result of Kitchener and Barrie each winning nine of their last 10 games. Still, the Firebirds remain in the mix, sitting just one point back of third place and six points away from being the OHL’s best team.

Jared Woolley, Kitchener Rangers, LH Defenseman (164th overall in 2024)

2025-26 Stats: 11 goals, 17 assists, plus-19, 52 PIM in 47 games played

Since being acquired by Kitchener, Woolley has helped lead the Rangers to a 9-0-1 record. While only tallying three points in that span, the two-way blueliner’s contributions have come from playing first-pairing minutes and anchoring the special teams units. The sixth-round pick is plus-7 with his new team and registered an assist in Saturday’s 7-2 victory against Windsor, helping Kitchener move up into fifth place overall and second in the Western Conference.

Western Hockey League (WHL)

Vojtech Cihar, Kelowna Rockets, Forward (59th overall in 2025)

2025-26 WHL Stats: 1 goal, 8 assists, plus-1, 6 PIM in 11 games played

Cihar buried his first WHL goal in style, scoring shorthanded on a 2-on-1 rush. The second-round pick from Czechia didn’t stop there, adding two primary assists and a secondary helper for a four-point night to lead Kelowna to a 5-2 victory over Red Deer. Kelowna posted a perfect 3-0-0 record this week and has gone 8-2-1 since adding the WJC MVP to the lineup. With 21 shots and nine points through 11 games, Cihar is playing at nearly a point-per-game pace, and the offensive instincts that earned him the MVP at the World Junior Championship are clearly translating to the WHL.

Will Sharpe, Vancouver Giants, LH Defenseman (216th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 4 goals, 16 assists, minus-10, 24 PIM in 41 games played

Sharpe recorded a power-play assist in each of Vancouver’s two games this week, though the Giants dropped both contests. The seventh-round pick faced his former team Kelowna, registering a helper while going head-to-head with fellow Kings prospect Vojtech Cihar in the 9-2 loss. Vancouver then fell 2-1 to Red Deer, with Sharpe adding another assist. Since being traded from Kelowna, Sharpe has been elevated from second-pairing minutes to first-pairing deployment with Vancouver. The offensive-minded defenseman is just shy of a half-point-per-game pace and will continue to adjust to the increased responsibility with his new team.

COLLEGE HOCKEY (NCAA)

Ryan Conmy, Boston College, Right Wing (182nd overall in 2023)

2025-26 Stats: 8 goals, 6 assists, plus-3, 8 PIM in 23 games played

Conmy has been shuffled through four different line combinations over his last six games, part of an ongoing search for linemate chemistry at Boston College. The sixth-round pick missed one game due to injury before returning in BC’s 5-1 win over Harvard, where he generated plenty of chances but couldn’t find the back of the net. Conmy unleashed two one-timers from the left circle on the power play and had a breakaway chance during 4-on-4 play, but Harvard’s goaltender turned him aside each time. Averaging just over three shots per game with 16:16 of ice time this season, Conmy’s shoot-first mentality continues to create quality chances, though the line instability hasn’t helped his quest for consistency. BC moved up two spots in the national rankings this week to 11th and have posted a 14-8-1 record this year.

Kristian Epperson, Univ. of Denver, Left Wing (88th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 8 goals, 7 assists, plus-2, 12 PIM in 29 games played

Epperson recorded an assist in Friday’s 4-3 victory over Minnesota-Duluth before Denver completed the weekend sweep with a 1-0 overtime win on Saturday. The third-round pick unleashed six shots on goal over the two contests, helping the Pioneers move up to eighth in the national rankings and second place in the NCHC, just three points back of North Dakota. Tied for second on the team with a 14% shooting percentage, Epperson is converting at a notably high rate for a freshman. The only Pioneer ahead of him? James Reeder, who’s scoring on 15% of his shots—giving Denver two very efficient scorers who just happen to be promising Kings prospects.

Caeden Herrington, Univ. of Vermont, RH Defenseman (120th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 1 goal, 4 assists, minus-10, 10 PIM in 24 games played

Herrington logged his highest ice time of the season with 21:15 in Friday’s 3-2 victory over Stonehill, showing the coaching staff trusts him enough to play important minutes in a tight game. Vermont then completed the weekend sweep with a 2-0 win on Saturday. The fourth-round pick is currently on an 11-game pointless streak but has fired 19 shots on goal during that span, showing that the Vermont native is still generating chances even if the puck isn’t finding the back of the net. After the two victories, the Catamounts now sit in ninth place in Hockey East with an 11-14-0 record.

Brendan McMorrow, Univ. of Denver, Left Wing (196th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 2 goals, 5 assists, plus-6, 4 PIM in 17 games played

McMorrow remains out with the finger injury he sustained blocking a shot on the penalty kill in Team USA’s World Junior Championship loss to Finland. Now more than a month removed from the injury, the high-motor winger still has no concrete return date, and Denver continues to play without one of their most energetic forwards.

James Reeder, Univ. of Denver, Right Wing (198th overall in 2024)

2025-26 Stats: 6 goals, 13 assists, plus-4, 2 PIM in 29 games played

Reeder went without a point in Denver’s weekend sweep of Minnesota-Duluth, managing just one shot on goal in each contest. The seventh-round pick averaged 17:08 of ice time over the two games, slightly below his 18:45 average over the previous five contests but still seeing regular top-line deployment. While the offense didn’t come this weekend, Reeder leads the team with a 15% shooting percentage and has shown remarkable discipline with just one penalty all season. Playing a trusted two-way role for the eighth-ranked Pioneers, Reeder remains one of Denver’s most reliable forwards even in quiet weeks like this one.

Hampton Slukynsky, Western Michigan Univ., Goalie (118th overall in 2023)

2025-26 Stats: 2.43 GAA, .910 SV%, 3 SO, 2 assists, 19 wins in 26 games played

Slukynsky and the Broncos split their series against unranked Omaha, winning the first game 5-2 before dropping the second contest 4-1. LA’s top goalie prospect stopped 28 shots in each game, giving Western Michigan a chance in both contests. The loss dropped the Broncos from third to fourth in the national rankings, though Slukynsky still leads the nation with 19 wins in his Hobey Baker-nominated campaign for the defending national champions. Up next is a back-to-back set against Miami, who are unranked but have received the most votes of any team outside the top 20. If Western Michigan wants to remain in the top five nationally, sweeping the RedHawks will be critical.

Jack Sparkes, Clarkson Univ., RH Defenseman (180th overall in 2022)

2025-26 Stats: 0 goals, 1 assist, minus-2, 24 PIM in 27 games played

Sparkes saw his ice time dip back below 10 minutes per game this week, as Clarkson dropped a 3-1 decision to Princeton on Friday before battling to a 3-3 tie against Quinnipiac on Saturday. After a stretch of elevated minutes the past few weeks, the 6-foot-8 defenseman returned to more limited deployment with the Golden Knights. The sixth-round pick has proven he can step up when called upon, and his next opportunity will come again.

EUROPEAN LEAGUES

Petteri Rimpinen, Liiga-Kiekko-Espoo, Goalie (152nd overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 2.72 GAA, .896 SV%, 1 SO, 8 wins in 25 games played

In only his second game back since the World Junior Championship, Rimpinen got the start for Kiekko-Espoo’s lone game this week and stopped 30 of 32 shots in a 3-2 shootout victory over SaiPa. The fifth-round pick posted a .938 save percentage before turning aside two of three shootout attempts to secure the win. With Kiekko-Espoo sitting in 10th place and dangerously close to falling out of a playoff spot, Rimpinen’s top-tier play will be crucial if they want to make a postseason push, as they head down the stretch.
