The following reports cover games played through the end of day Tuesday, March 3rd.
Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Henry Brzustewicz, London Knights, RH Defenseman (31st overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 16 goals, 28 assists, minus-19, 53 PIM in 51 games played
Brzustewicz tallied one assist over London’s three games this week, recording a power-play helper in Saturday’s 5-0 rout of Brampton. The first-round pick fired eight shots on goal and finished with an even plus-minus rating on the week, despite a 6-1 loss to Windsor on Friday and a 4-1 defeat to Kitchener on Sunday—where he faced off against former teammate and fellow Kings prospect Jared Woolley. After his hot 11-game point streak earlier this month, Brzustewicz has cooled off but continues to generate offense, ranking fourth in goals and eleventh in points among OHL defensemen.
Jan Chovan, Sudbury Wolves, Center/Right Wing (184th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 22 goals, 24 assists, minus-27, 10 PIM in 53 games played
Chovan tallied three points this week (1G, 2A) as Sudbury posted a 1-2-0 record. The sixth-round pick scored in the 5-2 loss to the Soo and added an assist in each of the other two games—a 6-3 defeat to North Bay and a 5-3 victory over Kingston. Chovan won 55% of his faceoffs on the week, continuing his development at center. With Sudbury far outside of a playoff spot, as the season enters the final stretch, the Slovakian center has been one of the few bright spots—leading the team in points and power-play goals. The Wolves have climbed from 19th to 16th in the standings as the season has progressed, and Chovan’s growth gives them something to build on heading into next year.

Carter George, Soo Greyhounds, Goalie (57th overall in 2024)
2025-26 Stats: 2.73 GAA, .908 SV%, 4 SO, 1 goal, 2 assists, 20 wins in 39 games played
George reached 10 wins with the Soo this week, hitting the milestone in five fewer games than it took him to reach that same total with Owen Sound. The second-round pick split his two starts, making 24 saves in a 5-2 victory over Sudbury before enduring a rough night against Kingston, allowing five goals on 27 shots. Despite the up-and-down week, George continues to be the backbone of the Soo’s playoff push and remains one of the OHL’s elite netminders since the trade transformed his season.
Jimmy Lombardi, Flint Firebirds, Center (125th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 31 goals, 32 assists, plus-31, 61 PIM in 57 games played
Lombardi played in one of Flint’s two games this week, going pointless before missing the second contest for an undisclosed reason. The first-line center remains a key piece for the Firebirds’ playoff push, sitting 11th in the OHL in goals while maintaining his point-per-game pace. Flint will hopefully have their alternate captain back in the lineup soon, as they continue jockeying for positioning in the standings.
Jared Woolley, Kitchener Rangers, LH Defenseman (164th overall in 2024)
2025-26 Stats: 12 goals, 23 assists, plus-30, 64 PIM in 56 games played
Woolley tallied three points over Kitchener’s three games this week, all coming in wins. The sixth-round pick went pointless in the 5-4 victory over Guelph before recording a goal and an assist in the 8-2 rout of Brampton. He saved his best for Sunday’s 4-1 revenge game against his former team London, notching two assists—one on the game-winner and another on the empty-netter—while going head-to-head with fellow Kings prospect Henry Brzustewicz. Kitchener have clinched first place in the Midwest Division and have surged up the standings to second overall, in no small part due to Woolley’s solid defensive play.

Western Hockey League (WHL)
Vojtech Cihar, Kelowna Rockets, Forward (59th overall in 2025)
2025-26 WHL Stats: 6 goals, 12 assists, plus-10, 10 PIM in 22 games played
Cihar went pointless over the weekend, snapping his seven-game point streak as Kelowna swept their week, beating Seattle 4-1 and Wenatchee 5-1. The second-round pick fired five shots on goal and finished plus-4 over the two contests, continuing to impact the game even without finding the scoresheet. The strong team performances helped Kelowna climb to eighth in the WHL standings and fourth in the Western Conference. With nine games remaining in the regular season before the WHL playoffs begin — and then the Memorial Cup to host — the World Junior Championship MVP is looking at a full schedule over the next two months, as Kelowna makes their push for a championship run.
Will Sharpe, Vancouver Giants, LH Defenseman (216th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 4 goals, 21 assists, minus-14, 28 PIM in 50 games played
Sharpe went without a point in Friday’s 4-1 loss to Seattle before bouncing back with two assists in Saturday’s 4-3 defeat to Kamloops. The seventh-round pick is now playing at exactly a half-point-per-game pace with 25 points in 50 games. With Vancouver sitting in last place in the Western Conference, Sharpe continues to search for consistency as he adjusts to his elevated role with the Giants.
COLLEGE HOCKEY (NCAA)
Ryan Conmy, Boston College, Right Wing (182nd overall in 2023)
2025-26 Stats: 8 goals, 15 assists, minus-5, 8 PIM in 31 games played
Conmy went pointless over the weekend series against Boston University, though not for lack of trying. The sixth-round pick fired seven shots on goal in Friday’s 3-1 series-opening loss, continuing his shoot-first mentality. In games where Conmy records more than four shots, he’s scored in three of five—a testament to his finishing ability at volume. Saturday brought his 100th career game, a milestone that came in a 5-1 defeat where his lone shot attempt was blocked. Boston College dropped three spots to 13th in the national rankings and will finish their regular season next week with games against UMass and Northeastern before the Hockey East playoffs begin.
Kristian Epperson, Univ. of Denver, Left Wing (88th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 10 goals, 7 assists, plus-4, 14 PIM in 35 games played
Epperson closed out the regular season with a goal in Denver’s sweep of Arizona State, burying a rebound in the slot for his 10th goal of the year. The Pioneers secured victories of 5-2 on Friday and 4-1 on Saturday, as Denver moved up to seventh in the national rankings heading into the NCHC playoffs. The third-round pick wraps up his first college season with 17 points in 35 games — a solid foundation as he continues developing his two-way game. Denver will face Miami in a best-of-three quarterfinal series this week, where Epperson will look to make an impact in his first college postseason.
Caeden Herrington, Univ. of Vermont, RH Defenseman (120th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 1 goal, 7 assists, minus-13, 14 PIM in 32 games played
After logging his lowest ice time of the season the previous weekend, Herrington bounced back with his highest ice time of the year on Saturday. The fourth-round pick went pointless in both games this week as Vermont failed to secure a win, losing 5-2 on Friday before battling to a 4-4 tie on Saturday. The Catamounts haven’t won in their last seven games, though Herrington has averaged 18 minutes of ice time throughout the season despite the team’s struggles, earning consistent trust from the coaching staff. The Vermont native will look to snap both his cold stretch and Vermont’s winless streak in the regular-season finale against 20th-ranked Maine before the Hockey East playoffs begin.
Brendan McMorrow, Univ. of Denver, Left Wing (196th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 2 goals, 5 assists, plus-5, 4 PIM in 19 games played
McMorrow finally returned to the lineup after missing 12 games with a finger injury suffered at the World Junior Championship. The seventh-round pick was eased back into action on what appeared to be a minutes restriction, averaging just 5 minutes of ice time over the two games against Arizona State. With the NCHC quarterfinals against Miami on deck, hopefully McMorrow goes back up to his season average of 12 minutes per game and gets his high-motor game fully integrated into the lineup for the playoff push.
James Reeder, Univ. of Denver, Right Wing (198th overall in 2024)
2025-26 Stats: 9 goals, 19 assists, plus-15, 4 PIM in 35 games played
Reeder closed out the regular season on fire, recording a three-point night (1G, 2A) in Friday’s 5-2 victory over Arizona State before adding an assist in Saturday’s 4-1 win. The seventh-round pick is now on a season-long six-game point streak with three goals and five assists over that span. He finished plus-5 on the week and wrapped up his sophomore campaign with 28 points in 35 games—seven more points in nine fewer games than his freshman season. Denver swept the series and climbed to seventh in the national rankings, entering the NCHC playoffs with momentum after winning five straight and going unbeaten in their last nine games. With Reeder averaging the most ice time of any Pioneers forward and producing at over a point-per-game pace in the past five games, coach David Carle has a go-to guy entering the postseason.
Hampton Slukynsky, Western Michigan Univ., Goalie (118th overall in 2023)
2025-26 Stats: 2.31 GAA, .916 SV%, 4 SO, 2 assists, 24 wins in 34 games played
Western Michigan split their weekend series with North Dakota in a battle for the Penrose Cup—awarded to the NCHC’s regular-season champion. The Broncos needed to sweep the series to defend their title from last year, but fell 5-3 in the opener with only 16 saves from Slukynsky. LA’s top goalie prospect bounced back in the second game, making 24 saves in a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory, though the Penrose Cup ultimately went to North Dakota. Slukynsky still leads the nation with 24 wins and ranks ninth in saves as the postseason begins. The Hobey Baker nominee will face Colorado College in a best-of-three quarterfinal series as Western Michigan looks to defend their national championship.
Jack Sparkes, Clarkson Univ., RH Defenseman (180th overall in 2022)
2025-26 Stats: 0 goals, 2 assists, plus-1, 26 PIM in 33 games played
Sparkes helped Clarkson extend their winning streak to four games with Friday’s 4-1 victory over Colgate before the Golden Knights fell 2-1 to Cornell on Saturday. The 6-foot-8 defenseman logged his third-highest ice time of the season with 13 minutes on Friday, recording one shot and one blocked shot, before playing 11:22 on Saturday. Clarkson will face RPI on March 6 in the opening round of the ECAC playoffs, where the shutdown defenseman will look to provide the physical presence and defensive stability the Golden Knights need for a postseason run.
EUROPEAN LEAGUES
Petteri Rimpinen, Liiga-Kiekko-Espoo, Goalie (152nd overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 2.49 GAA, .903 SV%, 3 SO, 11 wins in 32 games played
Rimpinen started two of Kiekko-Espoo’s three games this week, suffering losses in both outings despite solid performances. The fifth-round pick stopped 35 of 39 shots over the two contests, dropping a 3-2 overtime decision to KalPa before falling 2-0 to JYP. Now ranking eighth in save percentage and ninth in games played across Liiga, Rimpinen has carried a heavy workload all season for a Kiekko-Espoo squad that’s gone 2-2-1 in their last five games. With just five games remaining in the regular season and the playoff race tightening, the Finnish netminder will need to continue giving his team a chance, as they fight to secure a postseason spot.
