GDT ***LA Kings @ San Jose Sharks GDT 10/28/25 >>8:00pm<< on ESPN***

Grier is brilliant. Ashkarov is going to ensure Sharks get at top 5 it not top 3 pick again.
They traded their 1st for him. Dumb move by Grier. Nashville really propped up Askarov and spent months pretending they were shopping Saros and Askarov was their future. Askarov had similar numbers to Portillo when he got traded to the Sharks for a 1st rounder. What a play that was by the Predz.... At least the Sharks only signed him to a 2 year deal.

Nice win...somehow...but I blame the Dodgers for our sleepy performance. I saw Kopi wearing a Dodgers jersey before the game, so you know they all stayed up late watching the World Series.
But all's well that ends well ...great trip against all odds.

Kempe point streak at 6 games now. Primary assist on Clarke’s GWG.

Where are you, Mr. Holland?
New contract for Kempe and replace Hiller. He’s got a lot to do.

I didn’t know they traded a first for him. Had to be one of the only good moves Trotz made last season.

He looked totally decent for NSH from what I remember but this Sharks team isn’t exactly defense first.

All hail Darcy.

This sharks team has serious young talent. They’re going to be miserable to play against in the coming years.

The honeymoon may be over with Malott. It was nice to see him finally score an -actual- goal, but I believe this is the second time he has taken two bad minors in a game, all while playing very limited minutes. This cannot persist.

Byfield has absolute sh*t for hockey brains.

Maybe it wasn't the best Kings game, and maybe Kuemper stole it for us. But it's a win & I'll take it. Especially when it means we get 9 of 10 on this road trip. Hopefully they'll get some good rest when they get home & make it a great home stand.

Go Kings Go!

Was at the Shark Tank - BEAT LA (get a new friggin' chant)
Sharks had the Kings reeling-Darcy saved the team - although the team didn't help him.
Dumb penalties & giveaways.
Not sure what happened to Toffoli - but he's gone full Doughty with his lettuce.
Wet, long, greasy look.
The flow was flying during warmups.

Don't the people in No Cal & elsewhere realize how the "Beat LA" chants make them sound inferior? We would never chant "Beat SJ" or "Beat SF".

First and foremost, huge thanks to Darcy because he was locked in. The results of the road trip are a huge feather in the cap in what was otherwise a terrible game by the kings skaters. Hiller's right that there's nothing to be learned/gained in the immediate aftermath, everyone knows those 2 points came the wrong way, but they're still in the bag. Still concerned that Danault had one shift in the third and its still unclear why he wasn't out there. Getting the injury bug with Foegele out on top of it will try the depth. Only a short stint at home where they might get 1-2 days of practice before another 6 game roadie. The next month is easier sledding by record and they need to use it to build their gap. 4th in the pacific isn't looking like it will get a wild card. On the whole though, take a bow on the trip, its over and your beds await.

He played two really good games. He played "2" games, from what I remember seeing. Portillo played "1" good game. Their stats were practically a mirror image of each other's.

He lost his man down low behind the net. Followed the puck and left his man. The man was to cover was named "Smith". That Smith fella was left wide open and scored the Sharks first goal.

Pretty goal, but overall not a good game for Malott.

I think it is time to finally admit that Stutzle was the better pick. QB has failed to consistently deliver on his “potential”. He is not the 1C of the future that we hoped he might become. Too random. Too frantic. Too little offense.

I wish Hiller would take him off PP1. He has neither the smarts nor the discipline to maximize the group’s performance with a man advantage. Perry should replace him.

That’s amazing. I remember watching him play in what felt like more, but then how many NSH games do I actually see. That is an even more impressive trade now.
