SCOUTING REPORTS

From Elite Prospects:

On his best nights, Reeder’s a high-pace, dynamic winger who fearlessly drives the middle. The give-and-go is his play, shifting the defence before passing to create more space for his target. He fakes before cutting inside, cuts back and uses the trailer, and, if all else fails, his pace and motor allow him to outrace the defence.

From McKeen’s:

He is a fearless player whose compete level is extremely consistent. Despite being undersized, he is terrific at the net front and along the wall because of his tenaciousness and terrific anticipation. This was very obvious at the World Junior A Challenge, where Reeder was one of the tournament’s leading scorers. Reeder works hard to earn touches. He provides versatility to his coaches; he’s a bit of a chameleon who can alter the way he plays depending on who he’s playing with. Equal parts goal scorer and playmaker, Reeder is the kind of player who supports higher skilled play drivers extremely well

From Draft Pro Hockey:

A dynamic goal scoring winger with an elite shot in this draft class. Is a quick skater who changes directions well. Drives the lane hard. Works the wall on the power play and is a dangerous option there and he keeps his feet moving so that he can be open and available and is confident with his shot even down low. Has a great shot with an elite level release when he uses it. Is a very creative offensive player who can open up passing and shooting lanes. Is comfortable driving the middle lane and is good at protecting the puck. Brings out the best offensive abilities of his linemates. Finds the passing lanes and can open them up too. Hockey IQ is good but not elite. Is a dynamic player on the powerplay who can create opportunities for himself and his teammates. Consistency in his work ethic is close but could improve. Reeder is an effective passer who can make good hard passes on the tape. Is an elite finisher. The puck finds Reeder on the ice and he makes things happen. Is excellent at protecting the puck and strong on his stick. Needs to develop his play on the defensive side of the puck. Projects to be a middle six forward with a knack to finish plays off
