***LA Kings @ St. Louis Blues GDT 10/21/25 5:00pm on FanDuel***

Laf was 1 for 7 tonight in faceoffs. He is 3 for 19 in the past 2 games. He is therefore not getting the puck to the better offensive weapons on his line and that hurts the team. Doesn't make sense to keep trying to put this square peg in that round hole. Laffy is a winger, Coach... a winger.

Now, can you stop putting Kempe at the point on the power play. The guy is being wasted there. Look at that shot.
I think it’s by design, as I mentioned in a previous thread that the PowerPlay needs to create confusion by having the umbrella forwards cycle around the perimeter during play, so the defense loses track of who they need to focus on. You’ve seen the penalty killers zero in on him for the last season and a half when he’s stationary at the dot. We know he can score from there, but the trick is to confuse the defense into leaving him open for that one timer.

Point is he is the best shooter on the team. Putting your best shooter at the point is the concern.
I think even Jim Fox said something to that effect last year. It is possible that I'm mistaken but I'd bet $3 that one of the Kings talking heads said putting Kempe at the point minimized his goal scoring.

pin in the balloon of hope that something unexpected could workout for the LAKs
