***LA Kings @ Tampa Bay Lightning GDT 1/28/23 4:00pm Pacific on BSW***

I believe the last two teams Quick has played against have been two top
playoff teams. New Jersey and Tampa Bay. The Kings have not beaten a playoff team since Edmonton. The Kings are beating the teams they should, like Chicago, Philly and Florida. They are losing to teams they should not beat, like Dallas, New Jersey and Tampa Bay, two of those teams Quick played against.

So I need to bet all my money on Carolina on Tuesday.

I would, the games they have won since Jan 9th have all been against non playoff teams. The teams they have lost to, have been three playoff teams and Nashville.

Since Quick last won a game, on 12/1, Copley has beaten Dallas and Boston plus Vegas twice and a lot of bad teams. Before the 2 starts against tough opponents, Quick lost to Philly, Arizona, and Columbus. Quick just looks washed up. Which is crazy after last year and playoffs. By this point of the season, he should have passed Barasso already and be closing in on Beezer to get 375 wins.

I still think the Kings need to get 60% of points in the remaining games to be confident of making the playoffs so they need at least a point against Carolina.

Copley is playing better, however TMac is saying we have a better chance of beating Florida than TB, so I’m playing the hotter goalie in that game, knowing pretty much whomever we play against TB, it’s a loss.

They will have to beat a few good teams in the future to have a chance for the playoffs. Maybe when Moore comes back, that will help? I don’t know if playing Copley against Carolina is smart, it could ruin his confidence.

Kings won't be (and shouldn't be) just packing it in against Carolina. The last time they had a long road trip they pulled off that big win in Beantown on the last stop. I would expect (and hope) the boys come out flying with 2 days off between games and really try and get those 2 points. 10 days off to rest afterwards and would be a huge win since teams behind them are starting to catch up with their games in hand. Not often the Kings win a game like 5-2 or 4-1 that has little stress and play perfect in all 3 zones. Tomorrow night would be an awesome time for that.

Go Kings!!
