Lizotte with the empty net! Kings took care of business. Officially in the playoffs! Now, the Oil and McJesus. There have been be payback.

Hey Rob Blake. That new goalie guy is a keeper! Please make it happen. Korpisalo rulz!

Took care of business.

Amazing goaltending past 2 nights. We get that in the playoffs, opponent is going to be pooping their pants.

That was a gutsy win being short handed and playing a back to back. Korpi did very well and the defense made some timely plays. Well done Kings, well done!

Playoff's baby!

glad to see Arty break out of his slump

Korpi was awesome

Kudos to the d-men for staying solid despite being down a man

He has a great shot. Wish he got more opportunities to use it hidden as he is on the 4th line.

LOL....I meant to say Trevor Lewis - Unsung Hero. (it's been a lonnnnggg day....) But, he's also the new Trevor Moore - gritty, grinder needs more ice time.

I was daydreaming about the first shift on Tuesday as I was stuck in the Dodgers parking lot this afternoon - wishing I could channel my rage into the Kings on the first shift on Tues night vs. McD....maybe all the Kings should go to the Dodgers game tomorrow night and have to park in the "regular people section" to build up rage after the game for Tuesday??

In only 14 of 77 games have the Kings lost by more than one goal and not been within one goal entering the final minute of regulation.

While some of us might feel less sad about losing Edler than others the lack of depth on the left side now is a scary proposition. Here's to hoping a season of conditioning in the A gets Toby to realize what he could be instead of trying to hang onto a spot in the lineup. Before the tilt wtih Edmonton coming up it feels great to acknowledge the kings for guaranteeing their spot in the playoffs, also for only their 6th 100 point campaign in the NHL and they have a shot at topping the following records:
Most points one season 105 (1975)
Most wins one season 48 (2016)
Points percentage 0.656 (they'd have to get to 108 for this)

Kind of amazing considering for most of the season the expectations for this squad had been raised, but now they're flirting with the best season in regular season kings history and the goal at the beginning of the season was just to be "a playoff contender". So here's to them for a day, and it all goes out the window on Tuesday if they don't show well against Edmonton since we're all spoiled children who can't have nice things.

Tuesday's game is big. Here's to boarding McJesus into injury and only getting 2 minutes in the box.
