soooo.....is our best-case scenario to actually play the Oilers in the 1st round, get good rest by playing a half-ass game on Thursday and basically no travel for Game 1?

Nope changed my mind. Pretty sure we can beat the Duckies in 5, so not sure what needs to happen for that scenario, but it's what I'm hoping for.

Any idea when the playoffs start?
Kings have been on the road since Sunday and are away until at least Thursday night. Do they come home after the Calgary game, or go directly to site of opponent on Friday? That’s likely almost a week and a half road trip by the time Game 2. Not ideal.
Obvs depends on when Game 1 is and where. Hopeful they can return home for a night or two.

Set to start on Saturday from everything I've read.

E Conf has no games on Thursday, so maybe they'll go all E Conf on Saturday and then start W Conf on Sunday? Lakers have a game at 5:30 on Saturday, so if we're home team (unlikley) it will not be Saturday

Just never gets old, especially this time of year. Just in case there is a fan or two who somehow haven't had the pleasure, check out is others too. Hopefully we can see another one for first round win. GKG!

superstition kept me out the next and they clinched
So I am back.

I was wrong and said the Kings would not make the playoffs.
I own it.
They pulled off their only 5 game win streak of the season and beat Edmonton after losing 8-1.
The DJ effect is real but the playoff draw is tough.
Got to keep gunning for two more wins, possible better playoff spot and enter playoffs on a heater!
However, many teams are eliminated or clinched and looking at prospects as their starters.
So it makes it easier on teams going for a better playoff slot.
This makes it tough to pass the Ducks , Mammoth or Edmonton.

Anyways thanks guys for making it fun and interesting.
I'd like to see what I can do next year.

Commute to Anaheim from Southbay is like 40 minutes in traffic. That would be my preference, and it’s gonna be an expensive series.
