End of 1st period. Other than unsuccessful special teams play for both teams, it was a relatively uneventful period and the game remains scoreless for now. 40 more minutes of hockey left and hopefully something will wake us up.

Kings had the 12th best pp last year without GV and most of the year without Arvy. I wonder who else might be missing.
 
Well, at least we're moving our feet tonight... and we did hit a post ...and most of the fans are still in their seats... so it's an improvement over last game.
At this point I'll take whatever positives I can get.

Totally unnecessary holding call… c’mon, guys, you are giving this period away so far.
 
Panthers score. Kings PK now 1 for 2. So frustrating to witness LA being very unproductive in the PP. Also, they're not taking chances to make shortie goal attempts while on the PK.
 
Easy to see that coming… they aren’t the same team from the first period. Panthers want it more now.

Hope the road trip shakes them out of this January slump.
 
Wow, it's rare to see Kopi cross-check a player. He's really not the type of player to do dirty plays. Surprising that he got away with it.
