Well, at least LA wins this time. Too bad Dave couldn't get the SO he wanted, but a win's a win. Now onto SJ and turn the Guppies into sushi (though I'm not at all into seafood, heh).
I blame the poor p/k that couldn't clear the puck and kept testing Big Save Dave.

Better game obviously. The 2 on 0 with 37 and 55 was one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

Just a few random thoughts about the game...
... I made the right choice...it was raining when I left and raining again when I got back home...
... I was highly concerned after the first period that looked like an extension of the Sabres game, but Kempe's old school hip check seemed to spark the team and energize the crowd...
... Byfield played a much better game, way more physical and more involved...
... say what you want about Fiala, but he's the hardest worker on the ice, by far...
... I feel bad for Big Save Dave, who was outstanding. He should have had a shutout against the Red Wings and a won against the Sabres and had another shutout again today. He's playing like the #1 goalie right now, and the team needs him to keep coming up big time. I really like the guy...
...that 2 on 0 short-handed breakaway would have been hysterical if it wasn't so pathetic. The 2024 Los Angeles Kings version of Alphonse and Gaston.
All-in-all it was a really fun game, but I think we could have easily won 3 or 4 to zip.

Yeah, Byfield should have shot it BUT Foegle did put a good shot on, only to have it hit the shaft of the stick. 9 times out of 10, that probably goes in. But it was pretty comical.

I've been watching Ice Hockey since the '60s and I don't think I've ever seen a 2 on 0 short-handed breakaway before. And of course somehow the Kings managed to flub it. Yeah, comical.

I missed the game as it was family outing day. Highlights looked good minus the 2-0 which will forever live in Kings fan infamy but will be forgiven since they won. Yay points and glad Reg or Rog? broke his Crypto curse. Nobody tallied the maximum 6 points which would have been an answer of Byfied, Kempe, Kopi.
