Whew, good thing QB got that 2nd goal back, which he blew for us earlier in the game. I was cringing as he descended upon the goalie in OT, every single botched 2 on 0 breakaway he’s been involved in, flashing before my eyes. 😅

A tactician could conceivably question this on a night like tonight, when Kopitar was hovering around 85% in the face off dot. Some coaches are smart enough to get their face off ace out there to win the draw, and immediately change out on the bench once possession has been secured..
 
All the focus on QB set aside for a moment, that Kuzmenko character seems to have some wily offensive instincts. It’s like Kevin Fiala with the spin-o-Rama behind the back passes.. except in Kuzmenko’s case, it actually lands on a teammates stick rather than the opposition’s..

When Kuz gets in the O-zone, he plays like a better Fiala: i.e. not making stupid plays that directly lead to turnovers to the other team. Well, it's only one game but I'm slowly liking what I'm seeing from him.
 
My favorite part of the night was watching the new guy. Kuz (Kuzi? Kuzu?) was very good. I was really impressed.

LOL! You might be on to something.

I've seen Warriors morph into Wussies once they got that wedding ring on their finger (not unlke a ball and chain on the ankle).

Let's hope it's something else.

With Kuzmenko, you can see that he’s definitely got an extra gear in the offensive zone. Which is totally fine with me, we’ve got more than enough ‘defensive specialists’.

Finally a win, just gonna soak in that for the short (one our less than normal) turn around and hope they have something in the tank for the knights. The season is going to feel very compact from here on out.
