End of 1st period. Though there was lots of grinding between both teams, the Kings were able to break through thanks to a Kopi goal tipped in the Blues net from a DD shot attempt. Also, that overturned goal in the Blues' PP really helped the Kings, as that eventually became a factor for the Kings to rally and score a goal of their own. But there's no time to get comfortable with the lead and hold back; the Kings still have 40 minutes of hockey left to play and protect their lead while they must get insurance goals to keep the Blues away.

Great period by the Kings! Can’t ask for more. I just like how they are pacing themselves. Great game plan.
