how are you watching me?!!!!!! f'dge Kings

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but man has Kopi fallen off a cliff. Tonight, he was the Kings' worst player in the game as he was largely responsible for all 4 failed PP attempts for LA, as well as being lamentably invisible in the O-zone at even strength. For someone wearing the C for this team, this is totally inexcusable.

Ok, Kings got a point, which is good considering 1) they were down two in the 3rd period and 2) the Canucks hit two posts (at least) during the game, including one late in the 3rd which resulted in the puck coming within inches of the GWG. However, 1 PP goal wins them this game, presumably, and in the playoffs, that can be the difference in games and series. If this doesn’t change, it will be another short spring, no matter who the Kings play.

I think I'm over Rittich. 2 of those 3 goals were stoppable. This loss isn't all his fault. You can't play below average in the 1st 2 periods then expect to turn it on in the 3rd. It worked enough to get them a point but not the win. And I don't care as much about the power play numbers. It's more the power play situations. And if you get a PP in OT, you have to convert. It's not all on Kopitar but he has to take some of the blame. And I think when we see Kempe moved off his line, it's great for Byfield & Fiala. But maybe it says something about Kopitar's play that's not so good.

Like with every OT loss, I'm glad we got the point but I'm not happy.

It's time to make a change in regards to our backup goalie - playing Rittich is almost like an automatic loss these days. Yes the loss is not all on him, but he's been subpar for too long of a stretch now. Time to give someone else a shot. In addition to the goals he gave up, a very stoppable bad angle shot slipped past him and was saved by the post then, thankfully, cleared from the crease by a teammate.

Something is just very off with him.

Great job by the Kings storming back in the 3rd for the second game in a row - at the very least this team has heart.

Bottom line, Vancouver outplayed the Kings for most of the game. Kings got the point so they are still up by 5 over Vancouver. I'm happy with one.
As a rule of thumb I’m right there with you, always be happy with a point when the Kings played poorly and trailed late.

This one just hurts a little because VAN was not impressive either and the Kings PP was a special kind of suck in OT. I’m not mad, just a little deflated.

And PS no way VAN makes it in over CAL.

Was encouraging to see kopi on the pine to start OT, but then he comes in to basically neutralize the man advantage. He should not be anywhere near a PP. Sadly, he seems almost a liability on the ice these days.
