Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed the Kings would be credited with 3 SOG during man advantages as of this morning, nobody guessed the Knights would only be credited with 2:

Well it was a great night for Kings fans and Los Angeles sports fans in general. Congratulations to the Dodgers for winning the world series. Was cool to see the crowd acknowledge it. Great work by all the boys, Turcotte seemed to bleed energy over to Kempe and Kopi in such a positive way. Q still is a bit over his skates out there but he looks much better this time around and more effective (turnover aside) with Fiala away from him(Laf it a big plus in his own right). Danault and Moore looked way better finally too even with Fiala. Life with Clarke as a PPG defenseman where he's just trying to help out and isn't the focus is going to take a lot of getting used to. But truly Kuemper gets the big kudos for settling a lot down there on the back end so these guys can figure their crap out. Biggest bummer is that out of the 4 points available, these 2 count the same as last nights would've. But denying any points to the knights is always important and if it cost 2 to the sharks to get it done this way we can live with it come April.

I said I wouldn’t analyze this team based on their first 10 games. This was game 11. The team is good.

I couldn’t watch but that hit count was promising. Did they finally play a more physical game and outwork their opponent?

Isn't it always the case that when then Kings have a bad game against a bad team, and everyone says how much they suck & should trade everyone away, that they come out with a great game against a good team.
Yes, that is why I tolerate the nagging nabobs of negativism.

Even after a night's sleep, I am amazed by the effort the Kings put forth last night. We all understand sometimes you play to the level of your competition and against the Sharks the Kings played well beneath the Sharks level.

Last night, the Kings came out and made a statement by out hustling Vegas. I know most are not fans of Englund's play, however, I like him out there. I could tell that Fiala seemed extra careful not to take a penalty, however, he can't play timid. I am becoming a believer of Turcotte. This kid plays with heart and understands his role. Byfield is finding his game, however, may be better suited in international play due to the larger ice surface. Overall, a good night in LA.

1. Despite Clarke's considerable offensive gifts, he still annoys the p*ss out of me with his d-play. I know that he will learn and get better, but in the meantime . . . .

2. Byfield is clearly not playing up to the level he displayed last year. He is far too talented to be as un-dominant as he has been so far this season. One can say, "it's still early", but 13% of the season is already gone, and a s***-ton of other young players have made significant impacts for their teams already.

3. Sorry, but a team that stinks of a herring processing factory against the worst team in the league one night, and then pops one of the league's top teams in the teeth the next night is a team lacking in sufficient leadership. Not pointing any fingers, but we all know who is supposed to be leading this team.

(Sorry, but age and anti-testosterone therapy has me grumpy at times. "Hey, Cancer. F*** you!!!".)

Gonna take more than one win against a top team to convince me they are good given their struggles against poor teams. We will see how this plays out over time.

Disagree with 1 and 3, I'll never get on Kopi as there has been zero commentary outside of our fanbase the Kopi isn't a great leader. 2, yeah, Byfield needs to step it up considerably.

Not saying that Kopitar isn't an adequate leader. I agree that we just don't hear much about his actual leadership qualities. What I'm stating is that we see too many occasions where the team doesn't respond the way that a championship team would. Yes, he's been part of two Cup winners, but we all know that those teams had other exceptional leaders.
