Yep. Kings do that a lot. Pass from mid slot to the point or to a forward way down the faceoff dot at an extreme angle. That is part of what made Clarke's goal vs SJ so nice. He kept moving forward and made a snipe from the faceoff circle.
Tonight looks better than Monday so far.
 
For their impressive current record in the NHL early this season, the Jets in this game are getting stymied by the defensive system of the Kings this period. However, we mustn't get too optimistic as Winnipeg has a penchant for comebacks.
 
End of 1st period. The Kings nicely controlled the period and got on board first. The Jets surprisingly didn't get much going on in the period despite a late push somewhat to keep the Kings on their toes. However, this is just the first 20 minutes of hockey in this game. Expect Winnipeg to readjust their game and confound LA in the next 40 minutes so buckle up, people.
 
Kings look like they had one period in them. Terrible passing and decisions to start the second just like Monday night.
