2nd period is over. The Kings get their second goal but Winnipeg cut the LA lead in half in their first PP and made it 2-1 still in favor of LA. While Dave did a nice job stopping Kupari's shot in the PS attempt and the Kings were able to kill their second penalty, LA cannot afford to take another unnecessary penalty as they try to hang on to their lead in the 3rd period.

Play a heavily defense-oriented, puck-controlling game against the Jets and the Jets will have trouble getting their offense going in the O-zone. That's what LA is doing now after 40 minutes. And let's hope they continue to stymie Winnipeg and get some insurance goals in the next 20 minutes. Part of the reason why Winnipeg has such an impressive record in the early part of this season is that the other teams they faced didn't utilize a defense-first system against the Jets.
