***LA Kings @ Winnipeg Jets GDT 4/2/22 4:00pm on BSW***

Damn party…but thankfully there was a bar with the game! Great job Cal and team! Keep winning! Great road trip!

That game was interesting. In the 1st period it was pretty clear the Kings have been playing tough competition and Jets weren?t really used to the intensity.

Kings lost momentum in the 2nd period, but didn?t break in the 3rd. 5/6 on a tough trip. Let?s go home and continue piling up the points!

I know many of us (including myself) sometimes have issues with McLellan’s way of coaching this team, but the facts speak for itself. If this young AHL looking team makes it to the playoffs he must be a candidate for the coach of the year award. With all the injuries to all the important players, this is a effing miracle we’re seeing!

Love this team!! GKG!!

I have no issue with McLellan hockey. The young guys are learning the right way to play the game. Our kid line is doing work Vilardi/Byfield/Kupari can be relied upon and with each shift they are gaining more and more confidence and holding some pretty good puck possession.

The thing with McLellan, like other veteran coaches, is he relies on veterans too much at times. Just look at the Byfield line now that he?s been forced to use those guys more with all the injuries.

the thing about the coaching is that these younger guys were clearly not getting 100% from their coach on the Reign given his "mysterious" departure. And now they come up and are implementing the same system under MacLellan and thriving, so whatever the overall plan is between our 2 teams, it's working!

Yeah, that was cringy.

The broadcast is cringy. We're all Kings fans but Faust should try to be somewhat objective. There was another play with about 5 minutes to go where he had a 'icing isn't called for some reason' call. The Kings need Sutter to remind the announcers to stop whining about the refs.

Yeah. I was not a big fan of Todd early in the season but he's gotten the best out of a lot of players. Maatta went from a scared mess to +20. The kid line finally gets it. Kaliyev plays a 200 foot game. Durzi can be an adventure in the defensive zone but he had 9+ blocks last night. The staff has really coached the guys up.

Darryl Sutter after practice pushing & shoving yesterday:

?It?s good, it?s a contact sport. We need some more guys like that. Those 2 guys that are out there banging each other, those are 2 bangers. We need some of the guys who are pillow fighting to do a little bit of that." - Sutter following practice incident

what a piece of work

Who would have thought at the beginning of the season there would be hard decisions to make about the future of the D corp on this team. Walker, Doughty, Anderson, Roy not available. Durzi, Spence, Stecher making Edler and Maatta expendable? Nice problem to have unless your Blake in the off season
