Last Movie Watched

Why did you hate it? I can't imagine having strong feelings for that movie one way or the other.

It's my own fault. I read/heard so much about it when it was doing the festivals, I was really looking forward to watching it.

And then I did, and I kept waiting for something remotely interesting to happen. And nothing ever did.

Maybe saying I hate the film is unfair. Maybe I just hated the experience of watching it. It felt like a complete waste of time.

I know quite a few people who hated it, and I read a lot of negative comments about it before I watched it. So I watched it with low expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. I think if I watched it in a theater when there was so much buzz about it I probably would have been disappointed. That definitely has an effect on the viewing experience. I think the marketing of it also has a lot to do with it, because the previews sell it as a scary thriller, at least that is the impression I got from it, and it is definitely not that. If anything, I just found it an interesting take on social media and the internet in general and ways people can live a new and virtual life through facebook and the consequences that has on others. Definitely not the suspense film it was sold as though.

I am surprised that this was better than I though. Besides, any movie that has "The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em)" is okay with me.

*starts singing*

We had broken up for good just an hour before,
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.

:dancing-smiley:

I hated Catfish.

But I know a lot of people with good taste, like schaggy, who liked it.

The fact that Adgy hates this movie make me wanna watch it. I wonder what it takes to make him dislike a movie. After all he can stare at a pile of my dog's **** on celluloid under sickly green lighting and think it's really good and want it on blu ray.

Give it Korean subtitles and he'll say it's a masterpiece.

I swear someone better tell Adgy you guys are riffing or he will actually defend the movie you are describing, cause if it exists...he's seen it.

Sorry...I blame the bore worms. Has ya seen the original? I forget. You might like that better...it may appeal more to your old school Murnau sensibilities.

Yeah, I have. Both are pretty good versions. I really want to read the novel now since it seems like the type of story that I wish I could write.

Saw these two yesterday.

Entertaining enough, I suppose.

Hahaha! This image reminds me of a Great Gatsby cover. mhihi:

Odd movie that I thought could was okay, but could had been better. It reminded me of Italian giallo films. And the soundtrack is made of cheesy '70's disco FTW!

Another day, another Hitch movie. Is it bad that I laughed when the birds were attacking kids?

Why am I reminded of Billy Idol?

Wonderfully creepy French movie.

Doris Day is awesome. Hahaha! When I was a little dolphin, I asked my mother, will I be rich, will I be pretty, and she said, bitch please, the future is not for you to see, que sera, sera. mhihi:

Saw Cowboys & Aliens last night. Was alright, not as good as I hoped it would be.

Came home and watched Tank Girl. Weird movie but I kinda liked it.
