Last Movie Watched

FINALLY.

Outstanding. Animation and look was very cool, and the sound track was AWESOME (thanks, Adgy). We started it too late Sunday with the thought of stopping halfway and finishing the next night, but the story was too compelling to quit.

Recently watched both versions of The Lower Depths.

Both good movies, but very different.

Also watched this HK movie called "A Fishy Story" starring Maggie Cheung.

Surprised the **** out of me by actually being very good and not all that silly.

I just watched Before Sunrise for the first time, and as a single guy in his early 20's, it pretty much spell-bounded me. I can't remember the last time I felt so connected to a movie, TOTALLY recommend it (at least to people my age) if you're looking for a non commercial, un-forced fed romance movie.

Is it gay that I accidentally tuned into Swing Vote and I never flipped away from it?

I believe I added this to my netflix after seeing it in your queue :)

I really liked that movie.

I still have The Dark Knight sitting on my desk. I've had it for almost 3 weeks now, I think. Heh. One of these days...

Finally saw "Up" in 3D. The 3D wasn't all that, but the movie was fantastic. Easy five stars and one of Pixar's best.

Great movie huh? What did you think of the ending? When the house lights went up Adgy and I both said "******" and sat there in shock for a few minutes. Loved the music too, especially the 'Haunted Ocean' tracks...too bad it wasn't nominated.:tomato:

I went in not expecting much but ended up being entertained laugh: We've all seen "killer kid" flicks before, but this one had the right bad attitude.

Went and saw this on Friday with \_===o[XX]. Pretty much agree. It wasn't a whole lot different than other evil kid movies, but I had fun watching it.

I'm currently watching this...

Got this from Adgy in the Asian film thread:

Dude.... it's ****ing porn! Ha! That stool with the indentation of his rod was gross enough, but I couldn't believe they actually SHOWED IT!! Even fake and blurry, we were like: EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!! Guess it was a combination of this, the pissing shot, him ****ing the sack of rice, and oh yeah....... violent screaming rape as a method of interrogation, but the mrs. was NOT down. She did stick it out to the end though (morbid curiosity?), and we laughed our asses off when he was spinning that lady around hoisted up in the net. That's where she made it clear I'll be enjoying the other two episodes by myself. It's cool. Guy stuff anyway, and lots of nice boobies. :good:

I thought this movie was extremely entertaining. Can't remember another film I've seen that was anything like it. Fun stuff.

In the midst of my recent mindless action-movie binge, I managed to catch this gem:

It was the first of many films that Mifune and Kurosawa did together. It's a brilliant film, especially considering what Kurosawa had to work with. Not something a casual film viewer will enjoy, but anyone who appreciates good cinema should see this movie.

Denzel Washington gives the performance of his life but I was pretty underwhelmed by the rest of the movie - didn't really care for the plot.
