MOVIE OF THE DAY: MIAMI BLUES

Haven't watched this recently...but I have to. This is such a kickass flick. Alec Baldwin at the height of his powers and Fred Ward...whyohwhy was he not a bigger star???? Hell even the normally annoying Jennifer Jason Leigh was tolerable...this is an awesome flick that, if you haven't seen...you should.

Watched She's Out Of My League last night. Not horrible, but not very good either. Some laughs here and there. OK cast/supporting cast, but Alice Eve was great. Seemed like it wanted to try to be 3 other movies and ended-up doing neither well. Rating: 6/10.

Oh, and the guy who was quoted on the cover in big green letters as saying this was the new Hangover. He should be fired.

I watch this movie every few months, it's definitely in my top 5 favorite films.

Actually watched both of these for the first time on Monday.

Weird as ****, obviously, but I liked it.

Aesthetically pleasing, but... not quite what I'd been expecting. I dunno. Parts of it were really boring. Parts of it were really gross (I have a thing about feces...). It was interesting and I'm curious to read some more about it when I have the time.

Watched this thingy yesterday. Oh boy, what a flick!

As for Lynch, nothing beats The Elephant Man IMO. I actually cried when I saw it for the first time and am definitely not ashamed to tell it.

Definitely slow in parts, but the disturbing parts are really messed up. I had to stop it a few times before finishing it. Truly a messed up movie and not sure I could watch it again, unless watching with a group of people I'm purposely trying to freak out.

Not quite a movie, but started watching Claymore (Anime) on BR last night. Got through 4 eps in just over an hour. Entertaining so far. 22 Eps to go...

Uh oh. Magic word. Had this in my queue - until just now.

No... a$$hole! Vagies don't make us scataphobes gag and wretch. Well... a few may came close, but ya wince and muscle through it.

No defense for feces though. :puke:

Watched The Good, The Bad, and the Weird. I liked it a lot. Normally westerns don't do it for me, especially Eastwood ones but this was was action packed, not a lot of talking, fast paced, and funny. Plus, Song Kang Ho is so adorable in it. Which is a nice change from the my gross out experience watching his last movie Thirst. Not so adorable there.

Saw Stranger than Fiction last night. It was good, but if I had a choice between the type of Will Ferrel movies I'd prefer I like his stuff like Anchorman. Maggie Gyllenhall was cute in this movie. Wasn't a particular fan of her in The Dark Knight but she did a good job being the radical baker. I loved the cookie scene.

Scataphobe? Is that what it's called?

Good to know.

Made that up. Sorry, Adg. Don't know what the real term is but thought it sounded good.

Isn't scatting ****ting on someone? So shouldn't a scataphobe be someone that's afraid of being pooped on?

That's a Cleveland Steamer. Cleveland Steamroller if you then rock back and forth on it. Scat is a little more ambiguous. At least according to wikipedia.

Don't think I'll be visiting Cleveland anytime soon. Lol

Shutter Island and Inception, It's just a coincidence that Dicaprio is in both. Other then that, they were both unbelievable to watch.

I thought one, or both of those was a 'BlackTop'???:chickendance:

Btw I think scataphobe or coprapheliac are the correct terms? Or is coprapheliac someone who likes...errrrrmmmm...that thing.

Have you seen Lady Vengeance? A lot of people think Oldboy is ****ed up, but I think Lady V takes the cake.

Haven't seen this one yet, will check into it.
