Ok. The smartest thing about this flick, is this poster. A lot of bad dialogue between actors clearly too old to be in High School. I never thought that a movie where two 'adolescents' find a living dead naked sex doll would be soooooooooo boring. Practically every line of dialogue either contains or ends in 'man'. There are some great ideas here about how the lower class have no power...but it is soooooo heavy handed that you can't really give a rat's ass. Decent ending...but the whole movie is so horribly mishandled that it seems like an accident. Indy horror at it's best and worst.

Saw this yesterday...and it's like a really good dog. None too bright but loveable as hell. When a movie clumsily apes Good, the Bad and the Ugly by naming their three characters Driver/Cop/Killer...and then hammers things with subtlety by having one of the characters ringtone acually be the theme from GtBtU, well, it sounds silly but it's fun. Good cast, and The Rock doing what he does best...monosyllabic with most of his acting done through glares. You will see the 'twist' coming almost before the movie starts, but I don't care. This is a FUN movie. Worth a rental, but I am glad to own it because I will watch this again.

Hmm. Average. One of those 'town done him wrong so he's back for vengeance' flicks...but Aussie style with Aboriginies and horses. A little long-ish but a solid netflix. Funny to see Ryan Kwanten(True Blood) speaking his native tongue. I do so love having a bluray player at work so I can f'off in style.

Pretty good movie in the blood and guts variety. Interesting twist of modern immigration politics. Oh yeah and predictable. But overall a fun movie to watch.

This is a FUN movie. Worth a rental, but I am glad to own it because I will watch this again.

Watched Winter's Bone last night. All I kept thinking was 'are there still places like this on this planet?' Lead actress was great, but it was a slow movie at 100 mins running time. I'd give it a 7/10.

OMG I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! finally got around to watching it. i feel bad that my friend kept trying to get me to watch it and i kept refusing, but friday night i finally gave in cuz i heard the words video game and i said hell yes.
it had everything i love. video game theme, bands, music, weirdos, an awesome soundtrack, etc. It was so fun and entertaining that i must buy it soon.
then i watched this after and well, it didn't blow my mind like SPVTW, but it was still fun and i liked the soundtrack. that girl was so badass. and yeah even with Cage in it, it was a pretty good movie.

Not your typical revenge movie. It's actually a very beautiful film and has a slow pacing, so don't go in expecting a Mel Gibson vengeance flick.
Love this flick.

Hmmm. This was really well done...well acted, etc. But it left me a little confused and disappointed. If you are going to make a Twilight Zone-ish flick, where the rules change throughout, ultimately the success of the movie depends on whether you were left with more answers than questions. I have alllllll kinds of questions and very few answers. I have my theories but nothing I am real confident in. It's like Inception, while I don't think it's the perfect movie, it left you with very clear ideas. This one...not so much.
