This movie was ok. It was worth the $12, but not the $6 on the popcorn. Josh Brolin does do an uncanny job at looking and acting like Tommy Lee Jones though. So much so that you forget that they're not the same person. I didn't like the end though. It seemed a little too convenient. No spoiler. It's just a little convenient.
There wasn't as much humor in this movie as there was in the previous two, so I guess they were hoping that the story would carry them. One thing I didn't get was how the guy could go back in time and the fat guy would still have record of it.

Watched Four Lions for about the eighth time the other night. Never hesitates to make me laugh and everyone I've shown it to has also loved it. One of the best dark comedies ever.
 
I have to give that another try Diehard...it just didn't seem that funny to me, not because of the subject matter but because of the content. Like i said, I just may have missed it though so I will try it again.

was a lot of fun. First of all, some of the best use of 3d in a movie so far. Short (80-some odd minutes) but after watching Snow White and the Huntsman drone on for 2 hours plus, there is something to be said for that. Wow. Tommy Lee Jones got OLD. Disturbingly so. The Josh Brolin as... gag worked real well and could be used for future sequels. Although, now Will Smith is looking a little old, and, at times, a lot like Jesse Jackson. Anyway, this folks is a summer movie. Funny, colorful, and with just enough emotional depth to make it not seem so lightweight. Sure, it's mostly empty calories, but damn it tastes good. Jemaine Clement deserves special mention as Boris the Animal('let's just agree to disagree...') and, of course, Rick Baker's work is worth the price of admission. Best of the summer batch so far(yes, that does include Avengers) and I will be rewatching this incessantly in years to come just like the other 2.

Been wanting to watch this for awhile on recommendations from a friend.
Solid quirky comedy with some great dialogue and inner monologue
Nothing amazing but I still enjoyed it

As a completely irrelevant aside, I really need to watch Pan's Labyrinth. I had it in my possession for 4 months from Blockbuster without watching it even though I've never seen it and it looks great.

Yes, you do. Immediately, or sooner. A beautiful fairy tale(like they are supposed to be...DARK).
 
Okay, I need to watch it this weekend. Even better it's on bluray which I hope is amazing.

This absolutely deserves all the hype it gets as a bad movie, but in spite of it ripping off countless other films and being overstuffed and overdone in almost every way, I not only didn't hate it but found it strangely satisfying and actually likeable.

Actually The John Carter stories are over 100 years old and the 'ripping off' you perceived is really reversed. Star Wars/Avatar countless others openly claim these stories as 'influential'.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!! Released in America as Point Blank this French thriller has it all in spades. One of the best crime/suspense/thriller flicks I've seen in recent memory. It grabs you and doesn't let go until the credits roll, and was so absorbing that the 90 or so minutes felt more like 40. I won't bother explaining the plot, but rather say that if you haven't seen it already I highly recommend hitting it on Netflix streaming this weekend--and grab the popcorn for this one.

I've yet to see a movie with Melissa George that I didn't like. Amityville Horror is no exception. Yea it's not original and you won't be confusing it with any award-winning movies but it was entertaining nonetheless.

There are two reasons to watch this movie, and both are the proud property of Megumi Kagurazaka (←PG-13, but NSFW). OK a third reason: it's highly entertaining. Funny, tense, extremely unsettling, the characters and acting are all well done, and while not comically gory it is pretty f***ing sick when they do go there. For those who like this genre it's well worth a try on Netflix streaming if you haven't already seen it.

very true. as for the movie, I enjoyed it. I don't see the reason for so much hate given to it.
 
I went to see Rock of Ages. Yes, it is extremely cheesy but I enjoyed it. Some of the songs done better than others. I will say though that I wish they wouldn't have mixed in some songs that weren't exactly around that time frame and on Sunset Blvd at the time.
