Eerie, I just saw Iced Earth a couple nights ago, closing for Sabaton.

nice! i just had that song stuck in my head after some coworker told me he never seen The Omen. i know, it's a crime so i brought him a copy of mine.

THAT'S the censored version? :behindsofa:

Definite NSFW warning on that one. Pretty good though!

I think that is my favorite album of theirs (battling with Glorious Burden of course). Fun theme, decent variety in songs.

Primal Fear next week.

Iced Earth, Sabaton and Primal Fear in a short period of time? Well consider me jealous. I've seen Sabaton a couple of times but IE and PF are still on the list.

The new Iced Earth album is pretty good by the way! I mean it's not my favorite but it's probably their best one in a good decade.

Metal Evolution Part 12- Extreme Metal is available for you viewing pleasure.

It's pretty good even if I didn't learn anything new. Most of the usual suspects got name checked, though I expected a little bit about Deicide, Bathory, early Sepultura, and Mayhem (beyond the follow-up interview with Necrobutcher).

Loved the vintage Napalm Death footage.

Yeah, I might trade that for the ability to take a cheap domestic flight to Solvesborg every June and Falun every August.

Yeah you won't see me complaining that's for sure. Even my crappy hometown way up north has its own two-day metal festival.

RIP Dime

There are so many really good ones in Europe I am having to combine my visits there with taking a festival in. Last summer I stopped by Wacken after touring Slovenia and Denmark. I am probably going over in the fall, where I was planning on seeing the one focused on bands with female singers, but the lineup is really not impressing me. Meanwhile, the first batch of bands for Swedenrock was lacking and it ended up filling out extremely nicely.

That's awesome man. Sweden Rock is an guaranteed good time, great people and great festival. But if you're waiting until fall you're gonna miss it, it's a bit earlier than most others. Can't go wrong with Wacken though, lineup looks stellar this year.
