Music Plus? Hahaha! That's going a bit back.

How about this...when I bought Lick it Up @ Tower Records in Panorama City I stopped by the Licorice Pizza in the Panorama Mall to show my buddies who worked there. Set the wayback machine Sherman...

So many great things are gone. Progress is unforgiving. Wherehouse...so funny, my mom used to give me and my sister money to pick up pizza and the greatest garlic rolls from Mike's Pizza in Panorama City and she would toss us a couple of bucks to buy '45's (remember them) @ the adjacent Wherehouse record store.

vinyl lives, you know we have a whole thread on it!

I used to work at a Wherehouse way back when. When it was taken over by Blockbuster, one of the new "rules" was that the male employees had to have short haircuts. Some of us longhairs decided to make a stand on that fateful day. I mean, can you really trust a record store that doesn't have at least one guy with long hair behind the counter? They couldn't, no, wouldn't can four of us in one shot, could they? Would they?

They did.

Anyhoo, a moldy oldie

Great, now the embedding gets the good parking spaces and cuts in line at Disneyland. It was Metallica's One. Go click on another video.

Ozzy Osbourne Gets His Own Radio Station

hURM. Ok, so maybe this means Boneyard will break out of it's steady Metallica/Rush/Zep/Maiden, a few other songs then repeat formula. Personally I would have rather they turned more time over to Eddie Trunk and maybe let him program the station. Should be interesting to see if Eddie's show stays on since his relationship with Ozzy(more likely Sharon) is a little frosty. Hell, even Blasko(Ozzy's current bassist) has been tweeting some not so friendly stuff about Eddie.

It was kinda cool to see Dick Dale get the first couple of minutes on the latest episode of Metal Evolution.

Next monday, Mournful Congregation will be in LA. Awesome Doom band from Australia.

Also, LGK's own KingOvAllKings' band, Pendulous will be one the of the openers. He's probably too shy to mention it here, so i'll do it for him ;)

Haha i wasn't sure if anyone else would be interested in going. Destroy Judas are awesome live (ex Asunder/Winterthrall members) and Anhedonist have a killer Demo out right now. As you already mentioned Mournful Congregation playing in the
states is almost as big a deal as Electric Wizard at MDF for me, i hope i can make it out to that one.

Ministry Enjoys A Relapse

It was one of the shortest break-ups in music history: Ministry will return with a new album titled Relapse on March 3 via 13th Planet Records, and fans can follow the sessions via a series of candid behind-the-scenes videos.

The videos, viewable at the 13th Planet Records YouTube channel, give fans a sneak peek into everything from band meetings to recording sessions, where very important matters are discussed such as the right way to play a fast riff and how much Ministry founder Al Jourgensen likes cargo pants.

Ministry's current live line-up includes longtime Ministry guitarist and Rigor Mortis alumni Mike Scaccia, Prong's Tommy Victor and Aaron Rossi, Soulfly bassist Tony Campos and Fear Factory keyboardist John Bechdel, in addition to Jourgensen.

Fans of Scaccia's incredibly precise and ridiculously fast picking hand will be particularly impressed by the footage from the studio sessions.
