Due to hurricane Sandy, Blue Oyster Cult's 40th Anniversary Bash at the Best Buy Theater in New York City has been rescheduled to place on Monday November 5th and will feature an onstage reunion of all five original members of B.O.C..

Man...40 years. Congrats to one of my all-time faves and one of the consistently best live bands I have seen a gazillion times. They never got out of the shadow of Black Sabbath, but 40 years is still a tremendous career. Wish I could see the reunion, hopefully it will be filmed or they maybe go on a tour together.

Not a bad track in it's first third, but it'd have been much better overall had they stuck with the beginning's sort of prog-metal-techno feel rather than migrating through a half dozen other genres in the remainder of the song...

Dave Grohl gets around a bit, doesn’t he?! Soon after his collaboration with Corey Taylor emerged online, it’s been revealed that Our Dave will be featured on Ghost’s upcoming ABBA cover. Yeeeeup.

The cover – I’m A Marionette – will have Dave on both drumming and production duties and be included as a B-side on new Ghost single Secular Haze, which precedes the Swedes’ imminent second studio album Infestissumam.

Infestissumam is the follow-up to their ridiculously brilliant 2010 debut Opus Eponymous and will be released in the Spring. Check out the tracklist below….
