We didn’t get run out of their barn. Different team then the last time we played them, and even then, we weren’t run out of the building.

I don't think they were complaining about Kopitar at all. I think the complaint was directed at missing out on a higher draft pick due to making the playoffs. There is an argument to be made there about which is best for the team in the long run.

The Kings played well but they need to be better. When it's a 1 goal game going into the 3rd, this is the game you need to win. It's those few missed opportunities that sunk them. Also, you can't let their 4th line beat you. Other than that, I liked the way they played. They were physical & didn't back down, unlike in previous years. And they held the Avs to 2 goals with MacKinnon getting just 1 assist. That's great. If every game we hold the Avs to 2 goals we should win the series. But again we have to take advantage of the chances we get.

It's a debbie-downer acidic post. You do not play to lose... ever! It may happen anyway but as professionals you play to win every game you can, and my job is to root the team on to make the playoffs and cheer them to scrape out wins and go as many rounds as possible. Any management that makes a trade and then tells players to purposely lose to get better picks should have their butts fired on the spot.

I watched a couple highlight vids on YT. Apparently, Kempe is now the dirtiest player in the NHL and also a pussy because he won't ever drop the gloves. Of course, no acknowledgement of COL players antagonizing in any way. It's just cringe.
