I know it’s a horse that’s been beaten to death, but I really can’t help but think that the fortunes of this franchise would’ve been starkly different over the last four years if we’d have drafted a Boldy over Turcotte, or Stutzle over Byfield. You can see the effect that a truly skilled forward has in general.. and before anyone says Fiala, I firmly stand by my assertion that his Olympic injury was an ‘addition by subtraction’ type of situation. That guy is poison in the well, and I would truly love to see management find a way to offload both he and Byfield for some talented defenders in the offseason.
