
Perhaps the biggest hockey topic of the summer was Mitch Marner’s landing spot. After being drafted by Toronto in 2015 and spending nine seasons with the Maple Leafs, yet he was headed toward unrestricted free agency in July. However, the 28-year-old forward never really to test the market. Vegas entered the chat and acquired Marner — along with his new eight-year, $96 million contract — via a sign and trade deal. Below, in a sit-down interview with TSN, he talks about moving on from his former club.
