***Minnesota Wild vs. Los Angeles Kings GDT 4/15/24 >>>6:30pm<<< on ESPN***

Anyways, I should know this, but don't, haha, who have the Kings played the most in the playoffs.

And I am expecting a better second period.

Sweet jesus Kings - what a sorry excuse of a first period!

So, so sloppy…

I don't think that's possible any longer. If they finish with 100 they're 3rd because they have a tiebreaker over Vegas, and if they finish with 99 or less they're WC2 or 3rd. Nash has the tiebreaker.
Thanks my bad, with Preds loss thought there was a scenario didn’t account for tie breakers

It could happen if either of these happen:

VAN wins their last two and DAL loses their last in regulation. They would tie at 111 w/VAN having the tie breaker in ROW. Kings would need to stay at or below 99 pts for this to work.

VAN loses last two & EDM wins last three, putting them in the division lead. However Kings would need to maintain third place vs VGK.

Who is winning the President's Trophy?

I am going with the NYR. And you all know I believe in the President's Trophy Curse. :mhihi:

Ah, I was just looking at the Kings' position. Forgot the Canucks were not locked in.

I didn’t realize Kings had the tiebreaker over Vegas. If they both end up with 100 pts Kings get 3rd. Kings get 99, NSH has the tiebreaker. EDM or DAL realistically.

This game has the distinct look of a zero goal effort for the Kings offense. The Kings forwards are completely satisfied with keeping the puck in the least dangerous part of the ice. If that doesn’t change the Wild can sleepwalk to a win.

Looks like the Kings are content to not win this game and maybe their last with Chicago since they clinched a WC playoff spot after beating Calgary two games ago. Playing with self-satisfaction is nothing more than a recipe for losing a game, and that will come back to bite the Kings when the playoffs come. Sometimes I don't get what this team is doing.
