After a narrow 4-3 victory over the Wranglers on Saturday in Calgary, the Reign are set for a rematch against their Pacific Division rivals on Monday Afternoon at the Scotiabank Saddledome. This will be their fifth meeting of the season, with Ontario leading the season series 3-1.

Last time out, four different players found the back of the net for the Kings top affiliate, showcasing the team’s offensive depth. Notably, LA prospect Franky Pinelli recorded the game winning goal. Additionally Reign forward Andre Lee finished the evening with yet another point, as he grabbed the assist on Jack Studnicka’s second period goal. Goaltender Erik Portillo did his job in net, recording a 17 save performance for Ontario.

The Reign have been trending upward in February, winning four of their last five games. A significant part of that success has been their special teams; where they have converted on 33.3% of their power-play opportunities (8-for-24) during this stretch and have successfully killed 88% of penalties (16 of 18).

Meanwhile, the Wranglers, currently leading the Pacific Division, are coming off a rare loss at home to the Reign. Calgary is particularly strong at the Saddledome, boasting a 14-6-2 record there. Ontario will need to bring a strong defensive effort to slow down Wranglers Dryden Hunt, who leads the team with 43 points (12 goals, 31 assists) this season.
Puck drop is scheduled for 2:30 PM local time (1:30 PM PT), and the game can be viewed on AHLTV. An audio-only feed is available on the ESPN LA app.
