You mean like last year?Maybe he just coaches on the road and then anybody at home
The Kings are in second place in the division...fire Hiller is a long ways off. Our wishes will have to wait until they go on some really bad losing streak and then wait some more.
Kings won’t see another review call go their way for the rest of the season.Congrats Dodgers.
(And Toronto can cry about another team not winning!)
Bad night for me:Is every LA team going to lose tonight. Dodgers, USC and the Kings
The regular season has never meant less. My hope is the league will adjust the same way they adjusted to move past the neutral zone slog, clutch n grab, dead puck era. The regular season in that era was my least favorite. What we’re seeing now is quickly rising up the charts.I have to say, in 30+ years of being a hockey fan, I’ve never been as disinterested in watching as I am these days, and it’s not because of the Kings. The league, the rules, the coaches, the perfecting of systems, and the players themselves have all conspired to strangle every ounce of physicality, ferocity, and aggression right out of this game. It’s absolutely miserable to watch.
Unfortunately I agree 100%. Basically every game has a total lack of emotions, it’s just periods after periods with a big ”nothing at all” until yet another game is over. No hitting, no fighting, heck not even any scrums. Just hockey without any edges at all, blocked shots and commercial breaks all the time…I have to say, in 30+ years of being a hockey fan, I’ve never been as disinterested in watching as I am these days, and it’s not because of the Kings. The league, the rules, the coaches, the perfecting of systems, and the players themselves have all conspired to strangle every ounce of physicality, ferocity, and aggression right out of this game. It’s absolutely miserable to watch.
I hate to agree, but you’ve hit on something.I have to say, in 30+ years of being a hockey fan, I’ve never been as disinterested in watching as I am these days, and it’s not because of the Kings. Listen up, this isn’t XBOX. There are A LOT of games to be played before you do something like considering a trade for Kopitar/Doughty. Oh, and don’t forget, you’ll need their permission to do so.The Kings looked like they were playing pick-up hockey. They were completely unprepared to play against the Devils. This has been a problem for every game they’ve played this season. This team has no identity. We can’t play physical teams and we can’t skate against fast teams. Hiller and his entire staff should be fired. O-14 on the PP and 3rd for most SHG’s scored on. It’s simply unacceptable. They need to hire new blood from outside of the organization. Now, what I propose will not make me very popular. In order to not have another Dustin Brown debacle (let him retire, getting nothing in return), trade Kopitar to a Stanley Cup contender so he could have one last kick at the can. Ditto for Doughty. Some may say they both aren’t the same players when they won 2 cups. You’re right, they aren’t. But imagine Kopitar is your second or third line center? It’s insurance just in case one of your top players get injured. Same for Doughty. Desperate teams will make amazing trades if they really think they can win. Both will have their numbers retired in the rafters. But we should get something in return in order to rebuild.
I have lost interest in watching the Hiller-coached and Holland-managed team. Add in Luc and you have a triumvirate of stupidity running (or ruining) the Kings. Hell, these jerks can’t even re-sign the team’s best player. This underproducing, directionless team will get none of my money this season.I have to say, in 30+ years of being a hockey fan, I’ve never been as disinterested in watching as I am these days, and it’s not because of the Kings.
