Like most people I was pretty distracted this game and once that en goal hit I was full time in Toronto. I know this was a test against a top team, but to be honest with the distractions in town I don't think there's anything to be gleaned on this one.

This team is just so frustrating to watch. 44 shots on goal, most of them low danger...but still have to pot more than one. We bailed as soon as they hit the EN goal as we wanted to avoid any potential post Dodgers WS win shenanigans. LAPD was out in force around crypto with several streets blocked off.

LAPD after Kings game waiting for Dodger fans.
Reminds me of 2012 and 2014
2012: LAPD in tactical gear - lined up - clubs in hand. "This ain't gonna be no Lakers celebration" look. Until they saw KINGS fans just happy. No violence. After awhile - they relaxed.
2014: LAPD just hanging out. High fiving fans. They knew we don't burn cars or vandalize or set off fireworks.
Easiest team celebrations ever.

Trojans - Win
Dodgers - Win
Chargers - Win
Rams - Win

Kings - #!@!%*&#@!**&^%#%

Some how, some way, the Kings always find a way to p*ss me off.

Oh well...can't win 'em all...but the Dodgers literally ripped Toronto's heart out by it's roots.

We'll subsequently lose every video review from now until eternity, but it was worth it.

In 2012 we were too busy crying like babies to riot.

One thing I thought going into the season was our PP would work because it worked before. But it doesn't. They need to put Perry on PP1 because he stands in front of the net & scores dirty goals. And they need to move either Kopi or QB of to the 2nd unit. I would say move Kopi but probably QB until he learns to win faceoffs consistently. And they should move Clarke up to PP1 to quarterback the unit. But that would mean giving him more ice time & responsibility. And Hiller can't have that.

Maybe getting the best shooter on the team a little closer to the net would not be a bad idea either. Having Kempe 50' out is not the best way to utilize his assets.

I really, really swear I am not cheating in any way!!

Also...regarding the earlier Kopi discussion. IMO he is still one of the best, if not THE best player, on the team. Look how we sucked when he was out for a couple of games. And every time he steps on the ice the confidence level of those around him visibly goes up by 10 notches. And, I am saying this as a person who has always been somewhat "meh" about him (don't dislike him, he's just never been my favorite player). There is NO ONE ready to step up and even begin to take his place next season.

I seem to remember Perry being on PP1 during the second period Saturday.

Thank you for agreeing with me. I have posted about moving Perry to PP1 and moving Kopi to PP2 in at least the last 3 GDTs. And I agree with Clarke being the QB on PP1. Get Juice into a position where he is dangerous again.
