New Kings Jerseys for 2024-2025 Season

"Hey, designer, I want the logo to POP! Why don't you try that in BOLD? And try the same serif font used on "Kings" for "Los Angeles"

Not wowed, and I definitely wish they used the reverse retro colors, but the more I look at it the more I like it. Subtle things like the angle of the letters, the drop shadow. I can get behind it.

Very disappointed that the white reverse retro did not become the permanent road jersey - best looking white jersey in the team’s history. I will never spend a penny of my money on any of the boring, no color merchandise.

Definitely not wowed either. But the new apparel should all be at the Team LA store at the crypt, right? I may swing by for a closer look, only about 15 minutes away.

I find it ironic that they ditched this look for the “gangster” element after NWA etc embraced it, only to rebrand it as “new” 25+ years later. That being said, I like it much better than the purple

It's actually a completely new font. Listening to the podcast and the company they work specializes in creating new fonts...but yeah, not that much different.

The sad part is the ad agency probably got paid millions and millions of dollars for that.
I would say $20,00 to $50,000, depending on the agency they used and the scope of the re-brand. Not only should they be creating logo guidelines, Illustrator EPS and Photoshop files, CMYK and RGB versions, but also resize it and repurpose it for all digital/social media, letterhead and stationary for the office, perhaps the agency is working on new OOH billboards with the logo and new photography, etc...

But yeah, they overpaid. They could've gone to a freelance designer and spent less than $10k

EDIT: Maybe upwards of $100,000, depending on scope

Considering how much Blake overpays for players, I'm sticking with my original assessment of millions and millions :mhihi:

Probably under contract for the next 9 years too.

I could see that, having an Agency of Record. They would spend thousands of dollars a month for a retainer for the agency, and would get their projects prioritized over any other requests going to the agency. Also get a lot of meetings with said agency... then any work you send them is billed normally.

Why is the crown so tiny?! There’s so much empty space on either side of it. I wouldn’t mind it being bigger and even overlap the word mark slightly 🤷‍♂️
