New Kings Jerseys for 2024-2025 Season

Those who love the old school colors, I recently found and purchased this hat on the Mitchell and Ness website. Saw a fan wearing it at one of the playoff games and was able to track it down. The purple is a bit darker than pictured. Sign up for their email list and get 10% off first purchase.

Looking more at it, especially the font.

It looks like an art project the REALLY good kid in high school did,
You know the kid that is really good at art and does amazing stuff.......for a high school kid.
Looks like its done on photoshop by that kid.

While at the same time it also looks like knock-off Kings merch you would buy from China for a really cheap price.

It's really sub-par the more you look at it.
Not just because its a re-hash of the old logo, but also a really poor-knock off version at the same time.

The more emails I get with the new logo the more clunky it looks. Kinda like it's the wrong bit size.

The forward lean of the font and the thin lines coming from each letter on the original Kings logos (including the Chevy) were intended to project the speed of the game. The new, rather ponderous lettering implies the opposite of speed. And they have shortened the “speed” lines, made them thicker and even eliminated many of them. I don’t get any impression from them other than clutter. Hard to understand why they feel this amateurish rebranding is an improvement.

They don’t feel the rebrand is an “improvement “.

They feel going back to the old logo is guaranteed $$$ by a nostalgic fanbase in the midst of mediocrity. It is very calculated.

They just “tweaked” it to “show” that they put effort into it and to “sell” it as different and unique.

It is the very definition of a money grab.

In the same way studios make sequels or prequels, and artist record a cover tune.

The "ponderous" and "opposite of speed" re-brand may be an unintentional example of truth in advertising... given the product on the ice of late.

Not that anyone gives a rip about my opinion but here goes...
I like the more bold Los Angeles compared to the old Chevy. That is the only upgrade. The Kings in the middle definitely looks worse with less speed lines and less leaning.
And, as somebody already said, the crown at the bottom should be 30% bigger. There is a bunch of wasted space at the bottom.

That said, it should still be good enough for a cash grab.
