Good for Byfield. Glad this penalty didn't cost the Kings.

Good win over a very physical team. GKG!!!

So... do we think Korpisalo will get the start when Columbus comes to town on Thursday?

Got down early and never felt like the game was in doubt. This is a good team, and I don’t know what the number say, but the trade has shored up two areas of need, and has drastically improved my comfort level with this team.

Gotta say, pretty impressed with Gavrikov and Korpi, so far. The change of scenery seems to be doing wonders for Quick, too.

When it is all said and done the Quick trade will have benefited the Kings more than it does the Knights.

Lizotte has 10 goals, 30 points, including 2 SHP. All while getting thrown around like a rag doll on every shift. I continue to be amazed at his tenacity and contributions despite his physical limitations.

Talk about balanced scoring: 10 of the 12 forwards got at least one point. 4 of the 6 defensemen scored at least one point.

Well done, boys.

Well we traded him to the CBJ - so, idk. They seem to be doin good with him. He retired a CBJ 100% win rate and is carrying that with VGK ;D

Reminds me so much of Brian Gionta. He doesn't have the high end skill Gionta did but he has the same fearless hard-nose game. Pure heart and soul player who lives in the hardest part of the ice.

I've generally stayed out of the talk complaining about Faust, trying to give him every benefit of the doubt for having to step in and replace an actual Hall of fame legend, but I can't count how many times I pushed mute tonight when he was waxing on some super Jinxy, exactly what you don't want to hear tangent in a super competitive checking game. For the life of me I'll never understand how Nick Nickson isn't in that booth. The radio broadcast is so classic, traditional and measured. It's light years better than the TV crew, and I generally love and appreciate Fox.

Yep. All three are thriving in their new environment. Gavrikov and Korpi got into a winning team and are playing with a purpose (though Gavrikov's apparent lack of effort in CBJ when things don't go as well is something to be wary about when negotiating the contract).

Quick, in the end, should be thankful for Rob (all while cursing him out for blindsiding him lol). He'd never get his s*** together with the Kings...he simply lost his mojo here. It seems he really needed that shock. Good for him!

Lizotte should be protected and preserved like a gem. You absolutely need players like him if you want to challenge for the Cup. He does, however, need to play on a wing as that pesky forechecker that just doesn't let the opposing team get a clean buildup.

According to Nick - he was interested - the organization was not.

Alex has borrowed - EVERY SINGLE TERM Jim has used - then uses it ad nauseum .

The biggest question about Gavrikov was if he was a 3-4 that couldnt handle 1-2 minutes on cbus, and if he thinks hes a 1-2 because he got those minutes when Werenski went down he didnt look like it. He tries the UFA market hes going to find out pretty fast.
