Definitely not a Norris type guy I agree, I don’t think he ever will be. I could still see his skating deficiencies/lack of foot speed on display in that second game against Anaheim the other night. There was definitely a stretch in the middle of that game where he was getting beat to every puck and turned inside out. It’s not much of a problem when the puck is on his stick, because he’s the one turning guys inside out.

Yeah, Clarke is no Schaefer. Boldin actually had a great analysis of Clarke last night-- his straight ahead speed is definitely not great but his edgework is. So Clarke is a bit of a weird case because he's so good with the puck on his stick and the open ice of 3-on-3 likely doesn't suit his game like it does a Makar or Q Hughes or Schaefer. I can't see him winning the Norris with that deficiency but he's a standout for the Kings.
