I wonder how it's going to be this year with none of the teams there. Is there going to be 1 team representative there to hand the guys jerseys? Or is that something a league rep will do? And is Bettman going to give the guys bro hugs like NFL commissioner Roger Goodell does?

"This will be the second time Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Kings have hosted the draft, but this year’s will be different; top prospects will be in attendance joined by fans and media, while NHL team executives, scouts and coaches will participate virtually."

This is from the NHL site. Interesting indeed. Will be weird for the draftees to not go talk to the team execs/coaches after being drafted. I guess a virtual call is just as good. What I like is it'll probably go quicker. None of that scenario where the entire front office, scouts, owners & their kids, a celebrity of some kind come up to give a jersey. Just made it drag. But, last year in the sphere was pretty cool, I'll give it that....

Maybe they’ll just have the mascots giving the top picks their jerseys. Or every other team’s version of Mikey Alexander.

My fondest memory of 2010's was going to the Ontario Reign arena and taking a bus with other STHs to Staples, which missed a few picks.

My memory about attending the NHL Draft in person is that it was boring as hell.

And the "We have a trade" announcements made by Buttman was always delayed by 10-15 minutes after everyone already posted about it on Twitter. So that was not fun either.
