GDT ***NOON START LA Kings @ Carolina Hurricanes GDT 2/1/26 12:00pm on FanDuel***

Both guys have upped their game of late for sure. Had they both been more consistent over the year, the Kings would we way out front of the Pacific right now. Not trying to put all the troubles on them, as much of the team seems to have been taking the year off.
They lost their top defende and 2nd pair guy and broght in 5 new players.
They have been battling all year as evidenced by the number of ot's and today's game.
The defense has been good Gt great at times.
The offense not good enough
Seems like you are the one taking the year off

I used to play Gibson. Had a nice ‘69 Les Paul, a Les Paul Junior TV model, a SG Special, and a 345 at various times. But as a kid growing up in the 1950s, I always wanted a Gretsch. My White Falcon is an amazing instrument.
I am a punk rap vocalist and poet

I started my professional career in music in the early 1960s at age 14. You and I are eons apart! 😁 I have recently retired at age 76. It was a great run. Was privileged to have worked with and for the best of the best among my contemporaries.

Sure I'd love to give you a try out for my new project!

I was a mixture of TV and Radio for this one having to drive family around most of the day. From the visuals and radio calls it was a grand adventure by the referees. I don't think I've ever heard such exasperated announcers. Amazed that the Kings brought it back to OT considering the Canes are usually money at closing the door. Having Kopi back is a big hole filled, I don't think its a coincidence that Byfields suddenly scoring. Successful roadie getting 7 of 10 available points, but very worried about Mikey's noggin. 2 very important Pacific division games right before the break which no doubt every team is going to push on. Kings could be tied for first in the pacific or out of the wild card entirely.

Win both - we're stuck with Hiller.
Lose both - Hiller gets canned.

I had the following for the Canes-30-32.

Thanks. I appreciate all you contribute to LGK. Fun place to visit every day. GKG!!

Lol, and what if a right shot D goes down? Doughty is due to be out again for a spell.

If Anderson is not out long term they may not bring up anyone. A homestand is coming up and then the Olympic break. The 2 D that make the most sense to bring up (nhl ready) are waiver exempt. Why risk losing one of them if/when they get sent back down.
They brought up Hickets, 29, undersized, left shot but with NHL experience. A little reward for a good soldier. If it were for a longer period I think Bolduc would have gotten the call. Thanks for the conversation.

I will add that the org is not worried if Hicketts gets claimed on waivers. He has spent the last 6 seasons in the AHL and only played 20ish games in the NHL over 3 seasons back in the day.

As I said, it’s a reward for being a good soldier in Ontario. A few days at NHL pay is a nice paycheck. I believe Hicketts played in Detroit for the times he was invited to join the Wings for a cup of coffee or two. I remember hearing the name…
