Oilers nation is crying

Every army needs a few convicts.
This is just not the way I would go. There are lines. Those lines shouldn’t ever be crossed. Guys like Perry and Kane have no business on the Kings.
I don’t argue with the idea of a player who plays on the edge. In fact I think the Kings lack that. But Perry is frequently on the wrong side. There is a respect for the game, and the way it should be played.
I’d absolutely take Marchand. But I don’t want to win badly enough to win with Perry.

I'd hate to have either Marchand or Perry on the team. Marchand is a good player and he made some surprisingly positive and mature comments during the 4 Nations, but I can't get past a guy who will lick another player. Perry is just total trash. I give him credit as he has prolonged his career by turning himself into an on-ice toolbag and still adds value to the team, but just no...

I would take either Tkachuk brother though, even though Matthew has also been known to cross the line.

I know Marchand has a side that I can’t get. But I’ve heard a few interviews with him and he came off as very thoughtful and reasonable. That gave me hope with him.

You’re right…Perry is total trash. He has extended his career with bs but I did not like his style with the Ducks either.

I’m quoting something said by Dean Lombardi in a thread that was in response to a post by Statue4Deano,

And quite frankly, it’s a true statement.

Y’all need to get over Perry being a former duck.

1% if my dislike for Perry is the association with the Ducks. 99% of my dislike for Perry is that he’s a clown who plays the game the wrong way.
Agreed, there have been a good deal of Ducks I have liked (Selanne, Schneider, Tugnutt, Miller, Kariya - to name a few). Heck, I would love to see the Kings offer-sheet McTavish. Perry, though, has always just been a player who is happy to cheat to win.

Yes. He’s a criminal. Please see my prior comment.

Plants his ass in front of the net and causes havoc.

Yeah, there are guys who are edgy. Then there is Perry.
I hate the Ducks. But I hate the Sharks too. And I still hate the Nucks. And I will always hate the Oilers. But all these teams had players that I had no issues with.

Sorry, but once a Duck, always a Duck. He may be no longer with Anaheim but he's still a douche player in the vein of Darcy Tucker. Now I really like players with grit but if you play a game that crosses the line in terms of professionalism the way Avery, C.Lemieux, B.Marchment, and Samuelsson did, then I might have second thoughts.

I'm with Deano (and Bird). When we're talking about trying to win in playoffs and playing with an edge, I'll take either of those rats in a NY minute.

No love for Patrick Hornback? LOL
