Sitting here approaching mid-July it’s hard to believe we’re only a few months away from hockey returning to the Inland Empire. And we have some fresh Reign news to share! Ontario’s full 68-game schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season has been released.
As per the norm, it’s a heavy slate of Pacific Division opponents, mixed in with a few games against a pair of familiar Central Division teams like Iowa and Texas — including two-game series against the Wild and Stars both at home and on the road.
This year’s slate of action begins on Friday, Oct. 10 vs. Tucson at Toyota Arena. It will be the first of four home games before the squad heads out on the road for their next five matchups.
Early November features a typical home-and-home series with a longtime rival San Diego. Somehow, the Reign and Gulls only play each other four times all season, while there are eight games with Bakersfield on the schedule.
Ontario will also play eight games against Henderson, San Jose and Tucson. There’s another eight games schedule vs. their newest (and rather heated) rival), Coachella Valley — although they don’t meet up until January for the first time.
Players who were with Ontario last season won’t have to wait long for a rematch with Abbotsford, who knocked them out of the playoffs this past season. The first road trip of the season beings in Canada. The two clubs will also complete the campaign with a game in April to wrap up the regular season.
