Honestly, I don't think anything they would have done here would have pleased you. 2 years for a 34 year old who's play could drop off by year 3. Very reasonable, both sides have options in year 3. I can't imagine him making more than $11M if they resign him in year 3,

Projected $15M cap space would have Petey from Van fit nicely.

True I wanted Holland to stand pat, sign a center in FA like Coyle.
The fact he did this for 2 years and Holland retires in 2 years is very self serving.
If he wanted to do a big trade , I wanted a younger , C extended for more term.
I am a bit more forgiving with the extension.
But if they don't make the playoffs , I am pissed.
Lose again in round one and I am still not happy.
