Perry traded to Lightning

It would’ve shocked me to even think this 8 months ago but Perry was a great LA King. It’s true that the one you hate playing against the most is the one you love having on your team. Anyway, the trade makes perfect sense. I’m just wondering if the Kings are trying to collect every 2nd round pick in the draft.

A late first? For a 40-year-old? I think a second is a minor miracle. I also wouldn't be shocked if they signed him again this summer. And I'd very much welcome it.

What does age have to do with a seasoned and well proven playoff performer and a rental vet? He has intangibles that age really well.

Perry was almost a 0.5 goal per game to start the season. But it's true that was some time ago...still, with a potent offensive team he's bound to be productive in playoffs.

The problem is it's less of a sellers market than it seemed.

Aside from the sheer entertainment value of seeing this place melt down over his signing in the summer, watching him score dirty goals and sticking up for his teammates was one of the very few enjoyable aspects of Kings hockey this season.
Agreed, I hate to say it but his team-first attitude was impressive and even at 40 years old he was still not afraid to scrap. This team will greatly miss him.
